I’m not sure how releasing De Jong allows LEN3’s assertion of Romero being activated. DeJong was outrighted to Rochester in April and therefore not on the 40 man roster.

Like the major league 25-man roster, minor league teams have a limit too. Something like 22? Probably this is what LaVelle is referring to.

Rochester's press release just said that De Jong was released by the Twins from the Red Wings roster and that Romero was activated. (Note - Romero pitched that night right away.)
