I just got my ticket for this (which was free), was informed about it from a friend. For anyone who is interested in sabermetric education, as well as a few other sports topics. Mostly baseball, but a few football and soccer classes as well.

February 2 in Eden Prairie.

It’s a great program, but not too much on stats.

Go to minneanalytics.org and look around.

MIT hosts one next month. http://www.sloansportsconference.com/

Boston commuter rail would take me right there. Unfortunately, all the bargain-priced $600 tickets are sold out, and the $850 tier is too rich for my blood. (There's also a $2500 VIP tier.) If I had a fake student-ID I could get in for $250 except those are sold out too. Well-known sports analyst Barack Obama is slated to speak. What a world.

Sloan used to be the big thing to get to, so it does not surprise me that there'd be demand for tickets at those prices, but still...wow.

How do you get tickets? I tried the link you gave and it says the event is private and by invite only.

Click tickets and then use the drop down under the "participant - all day" section.

Thanks brother, I scooped up a ticket yesterday and plan to go. I happen to have the day off from work that day so the timing works.

I went last year and enjoyed it so am looking forward to attending this year. It's a great deal for being free as John mentions there are others out there that cost hundreds to attend.
