rico7961 Verified Member Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 How about offering Laquon Treadwell to the NYG for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. DRC would really give us a good corner opposite Rhodes and let Waynes have a lesser role or good depth in case of an injury. In todays NFL, you can never have enough cover guys, and DRC might be available, since he has be in disfavor with the NYG. They need receivers, also.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Why on earth would anyone offer anything good for Laquan Treadwell??

Because if a team puts him on the field, he'll be quite good, imo. I'd rather try to get Donald, since he's holding out......that would make this defense unreal, imo.

I'm guessing they'd love to have another good receiver on the field, especially with Diggs out. From what I've heard, he's laughably awful at running routes in practice. He's a bust, IMO.

That said, I'm not defending the pick, or how they use him. I'm just saying I think when they throw him the ball, he's going to catch it, and that his catch radius is good. I have no idea if he can run routes well or not....

Vast majority are timing throws, which means if you can't run precise routes, you can't play. The QB is throwing to a spot where the receiver is supposed to be. Doesn't matter how open a guy is, or how good he catches the ball, if he's not where he's supposed to be.

In any case, thinking he's some hidden gem that the coaching staff is holding back (why?), despite being desperate for good WR's with Diggs and Floyd out is odd to me.
