PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Stupid leadoff walk and 3-1 meatball** That too, but the leftfield wall here is kind of like playing ping-pong in a narrow room where the ground rule is you can play it off the wall. Fun, maybe, but not really the true game. And then you put a ladder on it. Kind of like mini-golf course.
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Gibson this inning... PatheticAlso pretty damn unlucky
David HK Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I dunno. I think I might hate losing to these guys worse than the other Sox. I really, really hate Boston sports. All of 'em. Do they have a WNBA team? I hope the Lynx kick their *** if they do.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Wow that was a 3-0 meatball Kyle got away with
David HK Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Welp. It's official. It's a Snapper Wheels-Come-Off Inning ® Might as well get Belisle up. Where's Bark these daze? We need a logo for that one.
kusko_andy Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Gibson has awful body language. Like, Jay Cutler awful.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 If we had known coming into this game that Gibson would pitch five innings with two earned runs, I think we would have been pretty happy to hear that. Of course, watching him nibble and lose control is painful. So is giving up a lead.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Gibson has awful body language. Like, Jay Cutler awful. Never looks comfortable
70charger Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Gibson has awful body language. Like, Jay Cutler awful. Somebody should make a Smokin Kyle. Again, where's Bark when you need him?

We need a logo for that one.A double that would've been a fly out in any other park (compounded by the fact that it hit the ladder), an error by Polanco, a double play ball with nobody to cover 2nd, and a swinging bunt RBI, that could've been the 5th out, but was only the 2nd out.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Ending the inning with a K is good news. The wheels have come off the hot dog, but the Twins still have a good chance to win.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Yeah some tough luck for Gibby that inning
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Trade Sano. Who's with me? edit: posted before he struck out
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 The good news is that sano should be well prepared for the home run derby considering his normal every pitch swing
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Trade Sano. Who's with me? edit: posted before he struck outHe has super-duper sucked the last 3 weeks
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Over/under on Sano check swings in the home run derby: 2.5

spinowner Provisional Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 If a new stadium were designed with a ladder like that it would be considered a travesty, an unacceptable gimmick. But Fenway lovers probably consider it a lovable quirk. Just another example of how most people way overrate Fenway as a baseball stadium.

We played in an inflatable bubble with a hard green carpet for 30 years.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I am not saying he would be a Wade Davis type but with his stuff and knowing he doesn't have to save energy for 80 to 100 pitches. Kyle would make a top notch bullpen armThat is exactly what should have happened coupla years back, when they made that ultra-stupid May to the Pen move.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 3-0 meatball. Kyle has turned the corner!

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 On the plus side, the Twins squeezed 3 extra outs from Kyle. 3 less for the pen to get.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 But did he turn the correct way?I'm not sure where the showers are at Fenway
