That too, but the leftfield wall here is kind of like playing ping-pong in a narrow room where the ground rule is you can play it off the wall. Fun, maybe, but not really the true game. And then you put a ladder on it. Kind of like mini-golf course.

I dunno.  I think I might hate losing to these guys worse than the other Sox.

 

I really, really hate Boston sports.  All of 'em.  

 

Do they have a WNBA team?  I hope the Lynx kick their *** if they do.

If we had known coming into this game that Gibson would pitch five innings with two earned runs, I think we would have been pretty happy to hear that.

 

Of course, watching him nibble and lose control is painful. So is giving up a lead.

A double that would've been a fly out in any other park (compounded by the fact that it hit the ladder), an error by Polanco, a double play ball with nobody to cover 2nd, and a swinging bunt RBI, that could've been the 5th out, but was only the 2nd out.

Ending the inning with a K is good news. The wheels have come off the hot dog, but the Twins still have a good chance to win.

If you're going to do something, go all out is what I always say. May as well go for sucking too I suppose.

If a new stadium were designed with a ladder like that it would be considered a travesty, an unacceptable gimmick. But Fenway lovers probably consider it a lovable quirk. Just another example of how most people way overrate Fenway as a baseball stadium.

It's actually a really cool place to see a game. We played in an inflatable bubble with a hard green carpet for 30 years.

I am not saying he would be a Wade Davis type but with his stuff and knowing he doesn't have to save energy for 80 to 100 pitches. Kyle would make a top notch bullpen arm

That is exactly what should have happened coupla years back, when they made that ultra-stupid May to the Pen move.
