Ernestfickle22 Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 has anyone else noticed the pitch count of opposing pitchers could that be a factor in how well they have been playing so far?

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Yes, I have noticed this. Most everyone in the lineup not named Buxton has done a fine job fouling off pitches and extending counts. For example, in today's game, only four Twins batted but Boyd had to throw 20 pitches. Hopefully they can continue this trend throughout the season.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I just hope Buxton starts taking pitches sooner than later, or he's going to Rochester... not sure how much more of that we can take.... I just want to know why it was that he had no problems taking pitches when they didn't matter, but as soon as the games count, he's flailing away as though he has no clue..
