Luis Arraez played the entire 2016 season in Cedar Rapids, and all he did there was hit. He put up a .347/.386/.444 (.830) line with 3 HR and 66 RBI. He didn't walk much, 6% BB rate, but he also didn't strike out much, 9.9% K rate. Arraez followed that up by hitting .335 in winter ball in 203 PA.

 

Arraez will play in Fort Myers to start 2017, and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the pitcher's league that is the FSL.

He was placed on the 7 Day DL... someone who was there said it was a little scary. He's going through an MRI today, I believe.

Seth has reported that Arraez suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. That's a real bummer for one of the best pure hitters in the Twins system.
