Phil Miller wrote that Mike Quade was driving an SUV. His girlfriend was also in the vehicle. They were sitting at a stop light and a driver came behind then, reportedly going up to 50 mph and hit their vehicle in the back. is SUV hit the car in front of him, and the car in front of them. It also veered and hit another car. That car had four Twins prospects in it, Ben Rortvedt, Austin Tribby, Dane Hutcheon and Caleb Hamilton.

The driver of the car that made the impact went to the hospital. Fortunately everyone else was healthy after such a scary event.

As police gathered information from Quade, he mentioned he was in Fort Myers for spring training with the Twins. “And one of the kids says, ‘We play for the Twins!’ I said, ‘You haven’t played for me — I’m the Triple-A manager.’ “

Darn.  Hope all are well.

Looks like the Twins players had the least of it and were helping the others including Quade.

Enough with car accidents already!

Accidents galore down here in SWFL this time of year, a combination of elder drivers, snowbirds, tourists, and pissed off aggressive locals especially in that area around Hammond Stadium.
