Berardino: Winfield shares wisdom with Buxton

Dave Winfield was in the Twins camp today in his role as senior advisor to Tony Clark, chief officer of the player's union. 

 

But Berardino talked to former Gopher athlete and short-time Twins player about chatting with Byron Buxton. Buxton maybe even learned a few things. 

 

 

“Oh, he’s got it, man,” said Winfield, passing through in his capacity as senior adviser to players’ union chief Tony Clark. “I love that speed and his defense. I gave him some ideas on how to break in his gloves, too, so he could be a Gold Glove-caliber player.”
