Steve Lein Twins Daily Contributor Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Since he went down with the injury last year that one wouldn't necessarily think would keep him out the whole year, I've been waiting for some news on how reliever Nick Burdi is doing. Ran into this article today from Mike Berardino: http://www.twincities.com/2017/01/31/minnesota-twins-nick-burdi-changes-arm-slot-in-hopes-of-staying-healthy/ Lots of interesting stuff about what the injury was and what may have caused it. Doesn't look like he will get that Spring Training invite after all, which disappoints me, but sounds like he is healthy. Hopefully the change isn't a roadblock to seeing him this year.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 he needs to stay healthy. 2 seasons not advancing beyond AA and spending too much time on the DL
Steve Lein Twins Daily Contributor Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 I don't think he'll spend much time in AA if he shows he's back early in the year.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Hope they can find a solution to his control and injury woes. He's certainly one to add to the list of revolving door RPs I'd like to see this year.
