Platoon Verified Member Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I discover the drink called Moscow Mule, very good and helps for that "in a stupor" stage of this Twin's season.I was soooo anticipating this season all Winter and it ain't even Summer and it's '"wait till next year".Need a refill and then find where I can buy those copper cups for the Moscow Mule . "Drink because you are happy, but never because you are miserable.” ― G.K. Chesterton, Heretics. This in actuality precludes watching the Twins and drinking!

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 One of my favorites, that was quite a group! Yeah, hope to see them perform at the South Dakota State Fair someday.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 For those that don't follow the Food and other Holidays thread, which, what are you doing with your life?! Today is National Name Your Poison Day! I think we've all heard that phrase at our favorite watering hole. Jerr's drinking Moscow Mules. I'm drinking Pacifico. What's your Poison for the night?
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Just looked at the lineup and Arcia is back in. Against a lefty. According to BR, in the last 14 days Arcia has been in 2 games, 1 start. Anyone know if something is going on with Arcia?
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Just read last night's thread, and I'd say it was the best this year. Only thing missing was a rally rhino.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Got back from Paris last night, just in time for the Twins walk off victory, looks like I didn't miss a whole lot while I was across the pond (as the old timers like Chief say) Buxton apparently looks like a ball player, Nunez is continuing to up that trade value, the Twins lost a lot, the pitching sucked and somehow Sano got hurt did I miss anything? Oh also, Paris is a great, great city, probably my second favorite in the world at this point behind NYC. Great people, better food, bestest wine.you found Parisians to be great people?
amjgt Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Had another thought this afternoon:I can't imagine TR's voice mail message is the generic "You have reached (612) 588-8888 please leave your message after the tone." Nor is it "You've reached Terry, you know what to do."I envision Terry having a song as his message. Any ideas what that song would be? Sugarloaf's "Don't Call Us, We'll Call You" comes to mind... Pizza Hut delivery is really great! https://youtu.be/nQFDA0FPm54
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Pizza Hut delivery is really great! I was hoping someone would pick up on that. Dang it I missed it by 1 number! It's been a few years since I saw that commercial.

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 That's it right there: Nunez hustle. I've seen a lot of players lately the give up before crossing 1st.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 Would a Mauer home run be considered "reaching base" ?
amjgt Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 I'm not able to watch the game, but I can just close my eyes a picture Mauer's HR barely clearing the fence in left-center.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Would a Mauer home run be considered "reaching base" ? there are those that might say that's a reach

David HK Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Just looked at the lineup and Arcia is back in. Against a lefty. According to BR, in the last 14 days Arcia has been in 2 games, 1 start. Anyone know if something is going on with Arcia? This is just another in the ever-lengthening list of reasons Molly needs to go. Just incredible. 'Well son, you didn't get that pinch-hit 3 run homer we needed that one time I let you bat, so sit down for a couple of weeks. Oh, are you still here? OK, go ahead and have a start- against a lefty- again, and if you don't succeed, you can sit for a couple more weeks.' How is anyone ever gonna know what we've got in him, or give him a legit shot if he sits and sits and sits, then finally gets put in after 2 weeks off, against.... a lefty. Don't even let him get up and flail once or twice as a PH in ideal spots, It's just... I mean.... how many inexplicable moves does this manager make? To his credit, whenever I catch a game and someone does something right, Arcia is the first guy in line in the dugout with congrats and high fives- he's a top-step guy even though his manager doesn't seem to know he's there.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Nice hit! Really nice hearing Bruno pushing Arcia to swing more earlier in the count. Coaching works
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 COOL! Where the hell is the next batter? They should be running to the plate!
