Buxton's Lefty/Righty Splits

.vs RHP: .256/.296/.407 (.704) 93 PA's

.vs LHP: .116/.156/.163 (.318) 45 PA's

 

If you look at his minor league splits he absolutely mashed LHP at every level. I know it is a very small sample size, but his horrific numbers against LHP, made his stats look alot worse. I would expect him to be much better against lefty's this season.

You just illustrated why acknowledging SSS is important. One oddity - such as hitting .116 against LHP over 45 PAs - can completely alter the perception of a player.

 

Buxton will (probably) be fine. I'm not even a little bit concerned about his 2015. Most of my concerns still revolve around him hurting himself too often.
