Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Let's take the time to remember that at the beginning of last year we had Arcia penciled in at LF, Vargas at DH, and Santana at SS. Now they aren't even getting consideration to start. Who knows if Buxton, Sano, Park, or Rosario will stick in the lineup (IMO I think Sano & Buxton will stick but I have my doubts about the other 2.)
Steve Lein Twins Daily Contributor Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Those numbers would be awesome as a whole. Extremely optimistic. That's an average of a .762 OPS throughout the 'starting' lineup (which would have ranked 2nd in the majors last year). Not sure how far it would fall as a team with everyone else taken into account, but think that would put them in the top 10 for all of MLB pretty easily. The Twins ranked 23rd in OPS as a team last year at .704. Red Sox were 6th at .740.
gopherman23 Provisional Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) 18 of Dozier's 28 homeruns last year were solo shots. He needs to hit 4-6 to take advantage of his greatest asset.
