Who is the better defensive first baseman today - Mauer or Sano?

Who figures to be the better defensive first baseman this time next year - Mauer or Sano?

This is such a pointless discussion.  Sano has played probably two games at first base in his career.  He isn't better than Mauer in the field at first base.  There's no ifs, ands or buts about it.  Mauer should play the majority of the games at first base next season. Sano should get a handful (probably in the teens) and the rest should go to Plouffe.

Mauer is obviously a better first baseman than Sano right now, since Sano has never played there, and I don't think Sano plays there in 2016 either. I envision something similar to 2015 with Sano getting a lot of DH time, though I personally wish he would be 3B full time and let him take his lumps (if any).
