Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Got out of that one, now to score some more.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Pelfrey sure likes to walk the tightrope... but he's been lights out with runners on base..293/.384/.367 with men on base. Worse with RISP.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 These jerseys are okay but the caps should have been gray. The TC doesn't show up well on the red.I could do without the glitter, too.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I could do without the glitter, too. Not all that glitters is gold... But i think they're supposed to be stars or something.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 It's that time again... Before 5, it's 3-0 in favor of the Twins. CBU.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Looking for game thread vol for the 2nd and 3rd games of the Baltimore series...anyone interested, please PM me. Thanks in advance. Gotta go, might not get back to you till later today or tomorrow.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Looking like a typical Twins game this year: Score in the first and hope it holds up the rest of the way.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Plouffe legs himself out a triple, scorin' the Mauer from the first base.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Poof is out of his element. Unreal. But we'll take it. Sano will go deep tonight.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Okay what is this middle of the game scoring stuff by the Twins? Good job Mr. Plouffe. I wonder who will get the callup when Plouffe goes on leave the end of this month? Also, will Sano play third? Or will Molitor play it safe and use Nunez or Escobar?
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Bert needs to fact check his stats. If he was even paying attention to his own broadcast last night he'd know the walk stat on Escobar he just gave was wrong. He compounded it by getting the strikeouts wrong and the at bats too.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 At least Cain is a low risk for a grand slam.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Pelfrey has 'em set up for that rarest of rare events: The quadruple play... (it's a triple play involving an error, i think. Or it would be if i were serious...)

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Wow. Molitor ain't screwing around tonight.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 Pelfrey should go to the bullpen too.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I predict May is back in the rotation after the break.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Veteran with a lead gives way to bullpen in the 5th. How many times did Gardenhire "steal" a chance for a win from a veteran in that situation? Nice to see wins take precedence over possible hurt feelings of Gardy Guys.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Wow. Molitor ain't screwing around tonight.Too quick of a hook IMO, although pelfrey has been flirting with disaster all night. Asking the pen to get 15 outs in a two run game. Good luck with that.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 nothing says 'I want to stop the bleeding' like bringing in Duensing....
Blake Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Molitor: "Yeah, Mike, we're not going to let you lose this game for us. That's the job of the bullpen."
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 Duensing just twisted his ankle throwing a pitch. Ladies and gentlemen, your Twins bullpen

Good luck with that. A conscientious strikeout objector like Pelfrey not being able to find the plate isn't just flirting, it's pitching with these on... http://images.sodahead.com/polls/002207381/348994595_hooker_shoes_answer_8_xlarge.jpeg
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Duensing just twisted his ankle throwing a pitch. As long as he does it while facing his first batter, I consider that a quality Duensing appearance.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Bert, '19 comeback wins this season...when they've fallen behind. ' Is there a such a thing when a team has a comeback win when they WEREN'T behind at one point?
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
