What would Torii Hunter need for his career numbers to make the Hall of Fame?

Edmonds was a fantastic defensive CF (like Hunter) who also had a career OPS in the .900s and an OPS+ of 132.  I think he's very much in a different league than Hunter.

If I had to rank Hunter in the same group as B Williams, Edmonds and Andruw Jones it'd be like this:

Edmonds (who is HOF worthy)

Williams.

Hunter.

Jones.

I think Andruw Jones is better than Torii - Though I agree Edmonds is better than both of them. I just think that all four of those guys (Bernie Williams included) are shy of the Hall of Fame. I wasn't really ranking the four of them against each other - it was more a binary yes/no. I think all four are "no."

Edmonds probably has the best case of the four.

I think Edmonds should be a slam dunk HOFer.  A great defensive CF with an OPS in the .900s and no hint of steroid use?  Amazing player. Just my opinion, though. If Beltran keeps hanging on, he's going to hurt hsi chances.  He's below Edmonds but about par with Williams and still above Jones and Hunter.

I might call Edmonds case a buzzer beater instead of a slam dunk - he certainly was very good for a very long time. He's a bit short on counting stats (less than 2000 career hits, less than 400 homers, he only stole 67 career bases) , but his rate stats are very very good. My opinion is that he would not be the worst Hall of Famer (not close), I think he'll have to wait for awhile to be inducted.

I'll help campaign for Edmonds if someone gets on board the Larry Walker bandwagon.

Hunter, while a very good player with some impressive longevity, still falls a bit short.

I've been on the Larry Walker bandwagon for years.
