I don't know if they literally mean "gene".......I really don't think they mean it literally.....

Yeah, I always assume they mean somebody who grew up in an environment to learn what it means to be a professional ballplayer, has a sounding board when things aren't working, etc...  Not that they literally have genes that make them more suited to playing baseball.

BA released their mid season top 50, which has graduated a ton of players already and does not yet include new draftees or international signings, and Gordon didn't make the list:

Was preseason #61, so he might still be iin that spot although that would be a relative drop with all the graduates.

 

Berries was the only Twin in this top 50.
