Time to make some bullpen moves

How would that work out better for him to face MLB hitters?  He was moved to the bullpen in the hopes he would created less stress on himself.  There are other, I'd say better, alternatives to Meyer at AAA and AA.  At least, right now.

Maybe the reduced stress of relieving will help him make a smoother transition to MLB, rather than trying to get him back to starting effectively at AAA again (which could take awhile) before a call-up to MLB.

 

Again, they can't keep shielding him from the test of MLB hitters forever.  Last season, there was no MLB call-up because it wasn't in his health plan.  This spring, it was because they still wanted him to start.  Now, those two considerations are out of the way for the time being -- he's apparently healthy and pitching in relief (and not likely needed as a MLB starter in 2015).

 

He's going to need to learn and make adjustments when he faces MLB hitters for the first time.  Delaying much further, in pursuit of a perfect role and conditions, doesn't change that fact.
