Rotation

Someone will either falter or get hurt.  Very unlikely that the Twins do or will have too much starting pitching.

Ordinarily I would agree with you.  But in the case of Nolasco, Hughes, and Santana, all could falter and still hold their spot.  Heck, Nolasco has been faltering for a year and a half and Hughes all this year.

I don't think he has any real value, look at who we got him for last year? I would rather hold onto Milone and keep him around as a low cost back end rotation guy (instead of going out and spending FA money on the Correias, Ponsons, Marquis, Nolascos of the world)

I'm operating under the assumption that the Twins are in contention come the deadline.  Milone is being traded because the team has 6 starters when Santana comes back with a 7th starter on the DL and returning at some point (who knows when) and some decent depth (Rogers, Dean, Duffey, Wheeler, and Berrios) in AAA to rotate in if you have multiple injuries.  You don't trade your best chip in that scenario, you trade the weakest option for whatever you can get.  That said, I do think the Twins can get more than Fuld for Milone right now...  But even if that's all they can get, the 2015 version of Fuld would present a decent upgrade over Robinson/Schaffer.

Now, if they fall apart and decide to sell, I think it's a different story.  I might keep Milone, but I'd be trading Pelfrey.  I'd probably look at Gibson in the offseason unless someone gave me something nice, but I think an ML ready catcher would probably be what I'd be trying to acquire.
