My Final Draft Board

1-Brendan Rodgers:

I think that Rodgers is the most complete player, plus he has the most upside, making him a no-brainer here.

2-Alex Bregman

This was a tossup between Dansby Swanson and Bregman, and even though Swanson is a better fielder, I like Bregman's bat, and in my opinion it should be the bat, not the glove, that gets them drafted this high.

3-Dansby Swanson

Swanson is considered by many to be the best prospect in the class, and even though I think that he is a nice player, I believe that Bregman and Rodgers are going to hit more.

4-Kyle Tucker

Tucker has the most potential with the bat in this class, but questions have been raised about defense and running, but that shouldn't be a problem, as he should play well in a corner, and his bat could make him an all-star.

5-Dillon Tate

Tate's first year in the rotation was one of the highlights of this draft class, but he slowed down towards the end of the year, but that shouldn't be a problem since he will likely build durability.

6-Tyler Jay

Jay is a reliever at college that has electric stuff, but will move to the rotation as a pro, although he should stay in the bullpen for the rest of the year, and could earn a September callup by the team that drafts him.

7-Daz Cameron

Cameron is very athletic, but I'm not a huge fan, as I don't think that he is that great of a hitter, plus I'm not convinced that the power will develop, but he knows the game well, and teams like that.

8-Carson Fulmer

Fulmer is a fiery competitor with good stuff, and I really like pitchers like that, but some think that due to his small size and violent delivery he will end up in the bullpen.

9-Brady Aiken

Would be the number one pick if there were no health concerns, and his medicals are supposedly not as bad as some made them out to be.

10-Kolby Allard

Best high school pitcher in the class, but injured his back during the spring, giving teams concerns about durabilty in the future, but he has great stuff.

That is a solid board. Quick question: How much consideration (if any) did you have for Andrew Benintendi in the top-10?

I'm starting to really want a pitcher. Especially with the OF depth (I know how fickle it can be). And I agree with the order of pitchers. Can't go all in on Black Swan Fulmer, but I would take him before Allard (today at least).

I would probably put him where Keith Law has him, high teens to low twenties. I hate player comps, but if I gave him one it would be Jon Jay, nice player, should be a big league regular, but I don't think he will be an all-star, but you never know.

Nice list, no qualms from me.  Top 8 seem pretty solid, with Aiken and Allard being wildcards.

Grantland's "12 Players You Need to Know" is a nice read on a few of them.
