glunn Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Willingham will now get a chance to redeem himself -- let's hope that he can Hammer one.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Not only that but Revere while lacking power is still carrying over .333+ Avg , give him a runner on 2nd and a chance to be the hero
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Brewers will be wise to pitch around Plouffe here.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 A walk off from Plouffe would be good.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 A walk off from Plouffe would be good.At least he got on -- now time for Doumit to redeem himself.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Look out folks! I live a few miles west of the park, and it is raining big-time now.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Look out folks! I live a few miles west of the park, and it is raining big-time now. That would be good for me -- I have to leave in 10 minutes to get a haircut.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Guess that will be it for Dunsing after (because of) the delay...
Scheherezade Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 How many runs has Revere saved with his glove tonight? At least 2, potentially 3 or 4. Also, it looks like Jeff Grey is our 12th inning specialist.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I was sort of afraid it would be gray in the 12th.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Is there a major league team that runs the bases worse than your Minnesota Twins? For that matter, is there a little league team that runs the bases worse than the Minnesota Twins? Can we put an end to the Liddle as third base coach fiasco? He gives Plouffe the stop sign 30 feet down the line.
snepp Verified Member Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Is there a major league play by play guy that does a worse job of describing what's happening on the field than Dan Gladden? For the love of all that's good in the game of baseball, keep him away from PbP duties. His performance at the end of the game was beyond atrocious.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I just logged on to see what's going on. You'd never know the Twins won the game, after shutout ball from the bullpen for inning after inning, with all the Gloomy Guses here.

And Jeff Gray deserves a huge amount of respect for his heroic performance.
Chance Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 anybody who has been on here complaining about Gray needs to at least give him this one. Come on guys he went 3 scoreless innings throwing 54 pitches. He does a hell of a job when the games on the line. He isn't flashy but he and revere are the reasons why we had the opportunity to win this game.
joelindell Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I agree; Gray's innings were very valuable. It was a fun game to watch in person, and I stayed until the end. Today, I wrote a blog post about a similar game I attended in 2004, where the Twins beat the Mets 3-2 in 15 innings at the Metrodome: http://www.twinsdaily.com/entry.php?1317-Looking-back-at-another-15-inning-win
