IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Twins Lineup Span, CF Revere, RF Willingham, DH Morneau, 1B Doumit, C Plouffe, 3B Dozier, SS Mastroianni, LF Carroll, 2B SP: Hendriks Brewers Lineup Aoki, RF Morgan, CF Braun, LF Ramirez, 3B Kottaras, DH Weeks, 2B Green, 1B Ransom, SS Maldonado, C SP: Fiers Mauer out due to a sore hamstring.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Hendriks threw a lot of pitches in the 1st inning (21) -- gave up a single and a walk -- but he got out of it. Let's hope that subsequent innings are easier for him.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Twins hitters not sharp in 1st inning -- 3 groundouts to SS -- not making Brewers' pitcher work very hard. Willingham robbed when first baseman's foot off the bag but ump missed it.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Hendriks not looking good today -- having trouble throwing strikes and too much up and in the zone. Five of first ten batters have reached and we are already down 2 runs in the second. Unless Twins hitters can start getting decent at bats against mediocre Brewers starter, this will be another frustrating loss. And I expect Brewers will pitch around Plouffe today.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Morneau and Doumit have terrible at bats -- Morneau strikes out in 3 pitches and Doumit lucky to hit weak grounder. Then Brewers wisely walk Plouffe to get to Dozier and an easy popout to end the inning. Twins need to be sellers at the trade deadline.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Two Brewers homers in 2 pitches -- I cannot watch this any more.
greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I know Hendriks threw 125 pitches last SAT but they gave him 7 days off. If it was ANY other pitcher on 7 days rest, they would be makin excuses for him. They should have started Liam last nite & Liriano tonight. They did him no favors today.
Parker Hageman Site Manager Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Jamey Carroll has seen better days.
twinswon1991 Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 With this team headed towards a 100+ loss season any guesses as to how many games Million Dollar Joe opts out of due to fantom injuries?? I put the over under on games played at catcher the rest of the way at 30 games. No way he gives enough effort to show up and play the position he is paid to play more than that. He will have plenty of time for more commercials and guest appearances though...
