DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Immense talent. Lots of hype, good stuff, shuffled between pen and rotation. Sound familiar? The royals are likely to non tender crow, if they do the Twins should absolutely pick him up as a potential starter at best and a solid RP at worst.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Sorry Dave, what am I missing here? 29 milb starts and not a single ML start in 4 big league seasons?
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Should be available on the cheap. Velocity on both FB and SL dropped by 3 MPH. Contact rate soared, K% and SwStrk% rate plummeted. Assuming ihis bad year is attriburtable to arm problems or mechanical issues (in which case, he'd be crazy to turn down a Pirate offer), I don't see how he ressurects his career as a Starter with the Twins, but he definitely has the potential to offer a low-downside, cheap upgrade to the pen for a couple years (not a FA til 2017).
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 A lot like Swarzak for us, If we non-tender Swarzy and or could get Crow Cheaper i'd be all for it as Anthony's Replacement. ath this point, Crow probably as a fringe bit more upside than Swarzy, Also Crow has pitched in the Twin Cities before (St. Paul Saints) I believe. I am for getting Aaron Crow.
