Somehow Cleveland got a AA OF for a guy that is on the DL.......(I think he's still on the DL) with numbers as bad or worse than KC and Sunshine Band's numbers.

At this point, with a day left, not much buzz about any Twins players. Doubt any of them will bring much back any way.

Be nice to open spots for all the hot prospects we have to get a little major league playing time.

True.  Masterson has a much higher upside than KC though, and could be back to his old self once he comes back from the DL.  It sounds like he's been dealing with this injury all year.  

 

KC's numbers on the other hand... that's just about the best he can really pitch.  So, it's not really a direct comparison.

He could, or he could just be hurt all year. They got something (probably as good as any OF in the Twins AAA level right now) for a guy on the DL. If you don't like the comparison, fine with me. All I know is, they got something for a guy on the DL. I say they did a great job.

I agree that they did a great job.  I think St. Louis paid for the potential upside, that's all.  I thought I heard that Masterson should be coming off the DL soon, but I don't know where I read that.  

 

There's a chance that the Twins could get something similar for KC, but I would have to think that it would be something slightly less interesting.  

 

Who knows though.  I am, by no means, an expert on these sorts of things.

Masterson, from what I've heard, is scheduled to pitch on Friday...

 

Good deal for both sides. Ramsey is a former Twins pick who went back to Florida State. Good deal for both teams. 

 

And no, the Twins won't get anything near this for Correia. Masterson is a stud (when healthy).

The only numbers worse are ERA and bb walk, otherwise Masterson is a lot better than Correia this year with a significantly better track record in the past.

 

Though I do think this meant Correia might have had a little bit of value before his implosion the last two starts.
