DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Absolutely fantastic, by far my favorite show on TV currently.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I hope so. I'm four or five episodes in, and I've almost pulled the plug. I was really looking forward to the show, haven't been impressed at all so far.

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 One of the most satisfying endings I have seen in a good long time. One of the best overall seasons of television I have seen. It will be interesting to see if they can duplicate this magic in season 2. Spoilers obviously.... What I really like about this show is it really gets away from the anti hero meme that basically dominates TV these days. There is very clear good vs evil throughout this show: Molly+Gus are just really great people, they are easy to root for because they are just kind hearted, well meaning people. It's nice to see them "win" Lester+Malvo pretty much are the definition of evil. Very satisfying deaths on both ends. Even Bill, who seemed like kind of a dick, is proven to just be an overall great guy (with his adoption of the African kid) and his speech in the last episode. I also like how the Mr. Wrench storyline never got rapped up, very Coen brothers like. Speaking of Coen brothers: some people didn't like the fact that Molly and Malvo never have a scene together and of course don't have the big showdown the entire series was building too, however this reminded me a bit of No Country for Old Men, where Moss and Chigurh never have the show down that is teased the whole time.
