Any official word on Aderlin Mejia on why he was moved down to A+?

 

He wasn't hitting for much power at AA, but .275 doesn't sound too bad.

 

I think it was the 7 errors in 15 games.

That said, wasn't Michael in the last draft class under the old rules where he essentially lost his entire first summer after he was drafted because players could hold out until pretty much the whole season was over?

He was in the class, but also was dealing with a lingering injury from the CWS, so he didn't play even after he signed.

Thanks, Eric. I knew I recalled that he didn't play that summer, so he got about half a season later start than top draft picks have had since then.
