twinsfan34 Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I like this guy a lot in the sense I'm pulling for him. He's a bit old for the league(s) he's been in. I hope he rakes so he can end up at...at least AA this year. A 24 turning 25 year old at AA next year wouldn't be that good. Again, hoping he makes it - I think he could be a great utility player, 4th OF, backup corner IF guy who plays 2-4 games a week for a decent team.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Four-year college guy. Have to start him somewhere.
Tibs Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 Although the Kernels lost both games, Chad Christensen went 4-8 with a 2B, 2 RBI, and a run scored in the doubleheader yesterday. His slash line is now .281/.338/.372/.710
Tibs Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Christensen had easily his best game of the season last night. He went 4-4 with 2 HR (1,2), 4 RBI, 3 runs, and his 10th stolen base of the season. This raised his batting average to .300 on the season. His performance earned him the Twins Daily Hitter of the Day Award, his first of the year. The 10th stolen base is a little surprising to me. That is a pretty good number for this early in the season. I'll try to find a scouting report on his speed.
Tibs Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Another multi-hit game for Chad Christensen last night as he went 2-4 with a run scored. He is hitting .385/.415/.564/.979 over his last 10 games and .313/.364/.450/.814 so far for the month of May.
