Can This Series Against The White Sox Jumpstart The Twins?

Twins Video

With a 7-15 record, the Twins come into the season holding the second-worst mark in the American League. They open up a three-game series against the worst team in the American League, the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox are bringing statistically one of the worst teams in baseball to Target Field.

It was the same day last year, April 22nd, the Twins were 7-13 and were getting ready to host a four-game series vs the White Sox. Their sweep of the White Sox then sparked a 12-game winning streak. From April 22nd through roughly the second week of August, the Twins performed like one of the best teams in baseball. We all know what would happen after that. Is this the series that gets the Twins rolling? Or is this team different?

If they don't sweep or at least take 2 out of 3 from CHI and LAA, Rocco should lose his job. Someone needs to be accountable and it sure hasn't been the players under his watch.....

This isn't just the 7-15 2025 Twins.  This goes back to last August.  They are playing the same boring and listless ball.  They are now like 19-42 going back to last year.  They play like zombies.  I expect Twins to maybe even sweep the Sox.  However it won't change much.  Twins sweep and then Rocco and the TV and radio Twins broadcasters will tell us how great they are.  Then we will play a real major league of opponent instead of the White Sox.  The schedule gets tougher in May.  This is a bad baseball team managed and run by people who don't seem to care.

The players have given up!  They are just showing up and who cares what effort they provide.  Not the coaches, not the management and certainly not the owners.  They have big contracts or a bright future so why bust your ass???

Really.  Truly. Why bother?  B cause the ownership has not spent a dime to improve the team when it mattered. Not in the offseasons. Not at the deadlines. Nothing but the weakest of token moves.

And the coaching?  Why bust your ass if the coach is gonna pull me in the 4th inning?  Why bother if the coach keeps putting the same washed up loser instead of a promising g rookie?  Why should I push to learn a position if I can’t stay there more than 2 games in a row?  Why bother practicing hitting lefties?  Because honestly the coach doesn’t seem to give a damn b cause there is never any consequences.

So it’s the players.

But it’s the players because ownership and management and coaching all screwed them over.

The truth is the next few series will tell.  The White Sox are just THAT bad, it's not hard to beat them (although today's game they are currently losing to them in the 5th).  Let's see how this team does against the Angels.

Yeah could be good for the Twins. The Angels have only scored 9 runs in their last 5 games. Twins hitting with RISP is brutal.
