I actually like this deal for Atlanta. Before he went down with an oblique injury, he was hovering around a 3 era. Even with a high 5 ERA in the 10 starts after he returned, still finished the season with a sub 4. That's solid for a 4-5 starter

Team friendly deal. Would've been thrilled if the Twins did this. 

Surprised to see a 1-year deal this early in the offseason.
