    We used to go to Metropolitan stadium when the Angels were in town just to get behind home plate when Nolan Ryan was pumping fastballs. The sound of the ball hitting the catcher's mitt was like no other pitcher. The ball would go "zip", "pop", and dust would fly out of the catcher's mitt. Awesome.

    I'd pick Hamilton over Anderson for possible bullpen role. Consideration: If Anderson learns to command his stuff better, he could be a beast.

    Sometimes you never know how it's all going to work out until you play the games. It's a good thing that we can even look forward to a championship season rather than mediocrity. I'm a Blackhawks fan and thought this season would be awful with the injuries to Nylander and Dach and the missing of Crawford and Toews but the kids are playing like their hair is on fire and the whole team has responded with inspiring hockey. I don't know if they'll win anything but it sure is fun to watch. I'm kind of hoping this for the Twins and they play inspiring baseball. 0-18 in the post season is an embarrassment and this year would be a good time to crush that.

    If Arraez is going to play a lot of OF, I hope they work on his stride as he persues the baseball. Can't be taking those little baby steps trying to get to the ball. Cue up the Devon White video.

    A truly deadened baseball for 2021 could produce more possible base hits to track down in the outfield. Outfield range might become more important than recently needed.

    Mee too. I thought he was going to have more of a MLB career than he has so far, but he is still in the Red Sox organization and might see The Show again.

    When I click on the photo of Bartolo it takes me to Twitter where I am greeted by the message; "The following media includes potentially sensitive content." I can only assume that his burrito count is high in roentgens or what ever unit one uses to measure burritoness and Twitter is just protecting my delicate sensibilities. How wonderful.

    Enlow has the ability to really carve through a lineup; makes hitters look really uncomfortable in the batters box. I kind of hate to make comparisons but Gerrit Cole does it like this to MLB hitters, biting stuff and explosive fastball. If/when Enlow figures out how to put hitters away I sure wouldn't look forward to facing him.

    A healthy (if) James Paxton would be an upgrade for most rotations.

    Old friend Andrew Albers signed to a minor league deal with spring training invite. Looks like a lefty arm for the mound flingers of St. Paul.

    No lack of opinions here. I agree with Seth. It's a long season and you never know how many injury/wuhan virus absences will occur. A versatile guy like Willians could come in handy. And, some here like watching him play.

    I think Bailey Ober is the sleeper here. I don't know if he projects as a starter or reliever at the MLB level, but with his elite control and the ability to miss bats he has a chance to have an impact for the Twins in 2021.

    Hendriks is the head scratcher for me since he still had options remaining. Maybe when they designated him for assignment in 2013 the front office thought they might sneak him through waivers. Oops.
