    And on the who really needs to know this list, James Outman has been designated for assignment by the Tigers to make room for pitcher Andrew Sears. Who knew Sears could replace anything these days.

    Beyond all baseball understanding Randy Dobnak has pitched in 8 games for the Royals and racked up 1.9 WAR ranking 5th on the team and second to only Michael Wacha on their pitching staff.

    Luis Fragoza has been an offensive force all season and as a right-handed hitter has been tearing up right-handed pitching, a profile that indicates more than just a platoon player as he moves up the ranks. Merphy Hernandez has some serious wheels and plays a really good centerfield and has a good arm too. If he can continue to get on base at a good clip he will continue to move up also. If Kendry Rojas can transfer his AAA control into MLB control it will help solidify his being a major league pitcher. We'll have to watch his results as he starts to face hitters the 3rd time through the batting order, if the Twins even let him.

    Rogers and Adams set the tone for the bullpen this game, quite surprisingly I might add. A win is a win but if I'm Derek Shelton I'm not happy with the offense wasting too many chances to score more runs. Good teams rarely let you get wins like this one.

    Agreed, a lot of flailing this weekend, couldn't seem to make the adjustment.

    Its not hind sight if you had the plans before the event. I'm sure other assets than just Jeffers and Larnach would be considered in packages to obtain said pitchers.

    I haven't said much but I was disappointed with the trade deadline outcome. The bold and positively aggressive moves would have been to trade the over-performing Larnach and Jeffers, trade Joe Ryan before his predictable second-half struggles and acquire 2 major league starting pitchers. I think Zoll has done a pretty good job elevating the bullpen; now if they can stop Hoffman from trying to use his fastball as an out pitch. I don't think trading these guys would signal a surrender for 2026. With the young talent available to bring up along with the players acquired at the deadline, a push for the playoffs this year would still be a goal and a better use of expiring talent would have been achieved. Maybe they attempted these moves and didn't like the returns available but if we miss out making the post season I think it will have been a big miss for the Twins moving forward.

    Now you're just being Minnesota nice. The nice part for me is the Donaldson Experience only lasted 163 games.

    "Walking" being the operative word here.

    Actually it's about protecting Culpepper who sustained a glute injury in June, took a pitch on the hand then re-injured his glute last month.
