  5. Cedar Rapids team has all arrived so I’m assuming they’re announced. A lot of people have said the team is stacked. I saw a roster but not sure if it was up to date. Noteworthy players I saw SP Blayne Enlow SP Tyler Watson SP Tyler Wells SP Bryan Sammons RP Jovani Moran c Banuelos C rortvedt 2b Miranda ss Lewis 3b Bechtold Utility jordan gore Of kiriloff Of baddoo
  6. Just thought it’d be fun to track. We seem to hit a lot of them so wanted to see if it’s real or just in our mind. Maybe shaking the lineup up would solve some of it but yeah the numbers to start the year are fluky. And we’re killing it so all is good
  7. Creating this thread because we need an official tracker this year
  8. I see we are good at solo homeruns again this year. Maybe one day we can get them with runners on
  9. So much for shortening the length of the game.
  10. Great D! Love Rodney. He has some deception to his pitching
  11. Interesting that Brent Rooker was listed first as coming soon. He must have just missed the cut
  12. Jose Miranda Position: 2B/3B B/T: R Height: 6'2" Weight: 180 Born: June 29, 1998, age 19 Drafted by the Twins as a Comp B pick, 73rd overall out of Leadership Christian Academy in Puerto Rico in 2016 Signing Bonus: $775K Jose Miranda played shortstop in high school, but does not project there going forward. After being drafted by the Twins, Twins scouting director Deron Johnson had this to say about Miranda. "He has a really good swing," Johnson said. "He's aggressive. We're going to send him out as a shortstop, but realistically, he's probably a third baseman. But he's a really good player and really skilled." "He's not the greatest athlete and not a huge runner, but he can pick it," Johnson said. "We have him compared to a Mike Lowell-type. He's a really good defender with a good swing. He's a good-sized kid. He has a chance to have power for sure." (Source: https://www.mlb.com/news/twins-draft-jose-miranda-from-puerto-rico/c-183209496) In his first season with the Twins, he saw 22 games at SS (.938 FPCT) , 23 games at 3B (.982 FPCT) and 2 games at 2B (.913 FPCT) in the GCL League. He also hit a .227/.308/.292 slash. He had a .272 BABIP in 2016. While it was a small sample size, Jose probably would have liked better results for his first season. 2017 was a new year for Jose and he turned up his level of play at Elizabethon.. Defensively, he played 37 games at 2B (.957 FPCT) and 1 game at 3B (1.000 FPCT). Offensively, his numbers improved as well, as he had a .283/.340/.484 slash with, once again, a .272 BABIP. He started to display the power that Deron Johnson saw when drafting him, by having a league leading 11 home runs. He also led the team in runs, hits, RBIs, and total basis. Even more promising was that he struck out just 24 times in 247 plate appearances. His performance led him to being named to the Appy League postseason All Star Team. Jose should begin 2018 in Cedar Rapids and see plenty of games at 2B. They may try him more at 3B as well as he may project there more if he keeps filling out. So far he has been a pull hitter with a pull/center/opposite ratio of .477/.222/.301 in 2016 and .475/.210/.315 in 2017. Overall, I anticipate his stock to grow as the season progresses. He has a bat that I think will play as he progresses. Here is video of his play March 23rd 2018: https://youtu.be/ERaoiVcC79k
  13. What did we give up? Cash?
  14. I apologize to my draftees but I’m heading to Vegas. There updates will be posted next week
  15. Theres only 39 players listed. Can Moran be #40?
  16. Any suggestions on buying one? Primarily would be at minor league games or Northwoods games. What distance is sufficient? 300 feet? 500 feet?
  17. Im a few minutes early, but can I draft Jovani Moran as well?
  18. Works out well. I'll have to check him out at Cedar Rapids
  19. ill give this a try.. Can I grab Jose Miranda?
  20. I think some of you may recall Seth Romero from the draft last year. Elite talent (top 10 in last years draft) but total head case. Kicked off Houston's baseball team. Still taken late in the 1st round last year. Already causing trouble in pro ball @https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/970819389846011905
  21. I honestly feel like Sano is a bigger risk than Buxton
  22. I would much rather extend Buxton than Sano
  23. That’s actually a good comp. Dejong had good offensive stats. Could easily see something like Seth outlined (7/$75M)
