  1. I predict: 4 IP 1 ER 3 H 2 BB 4 K. I'm a pessimist about the weather, speaking of which this cloud's silver lining in my prediction is that we then see: Alex Meyer 4 IP 1 ER 2 H 3 BB 6 K and he picks up the W.
  2. This sounds like he's putting the cart before the horse a bit. Like before the horse was even born. Doing this seems awfully arrogant and tone-deaf. Fits right in with the rest of his campaign I guess. So Cruz does this and out of the blue Trump presents a somewhat thoughtful and non-confrontational speech about foreign policy in a coherent and adult manor. http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/27/politics/donald-trump-foreign-policy-speech/index.html
  3. All of the best "closer" candidates are young and/or still in the minors and I think we have a pretty good idea at this point how Molitor likes to use young pitchers, that is, he doesn't. If it's not May or Pressly sometime soon, I wonder if a Hughes/Nolasco/Gibson may be the closer if the rotation gets back to full strength, Jepsen still struggles and Perkins is AWOL.
  4. Well the "Holding" pitcher made us eat our words for one night so we couldn't complain about him this time. Is it wrong that I'm a little disappointed that Fein, who hasn't struck anyone out in two years, made Molitor's decision to call on him in a situation where a strikeout was needed work? I mean, that had no business paying off right?
  5. Yeah, this is the one that actually stood out to me: -There’s no doubt that Berrios makes the Twins a better team in 2016. He’s a clear upgrade over Kyle Gibson, who he’ll be replacing in Minnesota’s rotation.- I really want an analytical team, but there are some compelling arguments as to why players SHOULDN'T read Fangraphs.
  6. I'm ready to hear them debate which of them is still actually a natural blonde.
  7. Interesting, I didn't catch that, but it was an iphone situation. I was mostly surprised it autofilled the accent mark over the e.
  8. If this is a classic move that the front office unethically pulls, we probably would have heard at least one starter call them out on it, not to mention the MLBPA. I don't think a healthy pitcher WANTS to sit.
  9. Who's getting into a game first Meyer or Berrios?
  10. Atta boy Sano. With a young team, I really like the "new hero every night" bit.
  11. Well I for one would have felt cheated only receiving a partial game without the bottom of the ninth.
  12. Oops I forgot the punctuation theme tonight. 16 innings???
  13. Again? Being saved from the Titanic wasn't enough?
  14. What is with all these manicured beards? I thought baseball was all about unmanicured beards.
  15. I agreed with the sentiment. Their actual name doesn't sit well with me nor the football team in the capital city. I'm good with bringing any kind of negative attention to these teams' continued obstinance due to their true loyalty to the dollar.
  16. Pleeeeeeease Jose and Tyler, pitch well enough that the team would look foolish going back to the Santana/Hughes/Nolasco/Milone/Gibson rotation. Also did Milone just suck out a flush on the river or what. That guy has nine lives.
  17. Agree, Ryan's moves and Molitor's moves are bizarre. When using a disconnect between the two as a template, only then the lack of playing time for the call ups makes sense. And sorry Molitor, but I trust Meyer with the game on the line more than I trust you at this point. The decisions have been very poor.
  18. This would be encouraging. The biggest problem I would think is that technology will eliminate manual labor and create technological jobs. The people losing their jobs likely will not be suited for the new ones created. That's unfortunate of course, but it's just part of evolution, likely taking a generation to fully self correct. I'm sure it's nothing new though, blacksmiths probably didn't just up and turn into auto mechanics.
  19. Not quite, our state spent millions suing to preserve the right to discriminate against gay folks over the years. That was a female fiancée beating the tar out her male fiancée.
  20. Yup, I think it's possible, and if so I suspect it's why Ryan didn't give Molitor Murphy. Molitor would have been tempted to play him every day. Hypothetically possible of course. If you're into hypotheticals.
  21. Arcia, best enthusiasm on the team.
  22. I'd love to see the circus of roster moves if this game goes 16 innings. There'd be a one man bench tomorrow I'd bet.
  23. Are they both losing? I can promise I wouldn't like it if that was not the case.
  24. This bullpen management is bizarre. Meyer must really not be available which means Molitor has gone crazy pulling Milone after 4 2/3 after yesterday's marathon.
