  1. "With a window open, and execution at the forefront, I’m not sure we’ve ever had reason to feel so confident in a Minnesota Twins management group at any point in history." Agree whole-heartedly!! The decisions made by this management team have been almost universally solid. No reason to think it will change. Only rainbows and unicorns on the horizon!!
  2. This is awesome. This is exciting. This is within the realm of realistic possibilities. The Twins ownership we all knew is no more. Although the current regime has been risk adverse as it pertains to long-term contracts, it is not infeasable that as this window of contention has opened, so has the willingness to invest in what is truly needed to bring home the World Series rings...quality and depth in the starting pitching realm. Cole. Berrios. Wheeler. Odorizzi. Wow! (and Castro - keep the band together.)
  3. It's easy to second guess but a Game 1 win requires your best bullpen arms.
  4. That's too many walks for a guy coming out of the bullpen. - Danny Gladden
  5. Haven't been following the thread til now but I when Rocco brought in Littel I was skeptical when Danny announced that Gibson was warming up I yelled NO!
  6. Another great, balanced, and fair weekly review on the greatest Twins site ever. We've made it to the ALDS with a historic season by a team for the ages. Sure, there are injuries and performance issues, but I look forward to see who rises to the occasion and contributes when it matters most.
  7. I see it as a testament to this team where everyone contributes that it was Castro and Cave homeruns that get us the Season HR record.
  8. This has been an amazing season so far. I knew from Spring Training on that this team was bound for greatness. I have been reading the great articles on Twins Daily daily but haven't posted anything in a couple of years. I'm looking forward to this Twins team with swagger going into NY and making a statement. I love this team and I love this site.
  9. Again Parker, thanks for this excellent analysis and article. “Hopefully this year, if I am able to pound the zone and go back to those same pitches, then I might get more of those calls. But you've got to get ahead and earn the fact that you can hit that spot and I just wasn’t doing that.” This statement seems to sum it up.
  10. Excellent article Thrylos! I think we all thought he came back too soon last spring and would be viewed more favorably if he put those stinking April and May numbers in the minors first. If they had better options to trot out there to start last season like they do this year we would have a better opinion of Pelfry.
  11. This site is great thanks to the many people who contribute what they can. The last three years have been tough as a Twins fan but because of everyone here, I feel connected to many like-minded souls, have learned a ton about baseball, and just want to thank you all (especially the moderators and their lively banter in game threads).
  12. When did Willingham change his walk-up music to Sweet Home Alabama?
  13. Big game for Mr. Mauer!
  14. So he needs help? or development? or both?
  15. OK, I haven't been able to follow the game tonight. Can anyone summarize what happened besides Dozier continues to rake and no one else can string hits together when it matters?
  16. Corry Provus just announced roster moves. Diamond and Hicks down. Arcia up.
  17. Danny is ragging on some of the Twins for shoddy defense like Herman missing the cutoff man three times today.
  18. Conspiracy Theory: Morneau purposefully didn't swing for the fences so he wouldn't be traded. Now he'll start belting homers every 10 at bats.
  19. Yikes this Herrera is throwing 99-100 mph.
  20. Burton strikes out the side...left side...right side...inside...outside. one fish two fish red fish....
  21. Wow, I can't believe all you Minnesotans are still awake. I'm in Mountain Time (11:30) and I'm considering calling it a night...wait the game is still going?
  22. So, do we need moderatin' for the moderators?
