  1. Holy unsurprising and lengthy defense of the front office and every move they make, Batman.
  2. LaMarre, Motter, Wilson, Grossman, Adrianza, Morrison ... I honestly can't recall a time when the MLB cupboard was this bare. Not that it really matters, as I doubt Molly would know what to do with an actual MLB team anyway.
  3. "I got you, fam." - Matty B. http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Matt+Belisle+Minnesota+Twins+Photo+Day+PnHhrsxioFLl.jpg
  4. Up to 6 catchers now. Is it just me or does that number seem a bit high given there's 10+ rounds remaining?
  5. After round 23 they're up to 4 power hitting college catchers ... I think we've found their type.
  6. Been decent in the Cape Cod League. Not sure how the ACC was this year, but numbers there seem decent. http://thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=197582
  7. I figured it out guys ... positional flexibility. He pitched 3 times for the Willmington Sharks during the 2016 Coastal Plain League season. Unfortunately, the bat didn't seem to play as well there, or in the New England Collegiate League, as it did at UNCW. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=202003
  8. My guess is he hasn't played enough to graduate from the prospect list - still less than 100 career PAs.
  9. So, what exactly was it about his 2016 season that you didn't like? I really don't see a winning record, sub 3.00 ERA, and virtually no HRs allowed to players 3 to 3 1/2 years older than him as negative in any way. 2017 was bad, but I don't think you can honestly look at the rest of his numbers and say it's been bad. If you can, and seriously believe it, your expectations are WAY too high. The only thing I can see that hasn't been where most people would like it, is the strikeouts. But that's a pretty weak negative. There's more to pitching than Ks.
  10. Good to see another nice line out of Stewart. The lack of walks this season has been a pleasant surprise. Maybe not being added to the 40-man was a wake-up call, or perhaps he's still really young and is putting it together.
  11. Just unmuted the TV ... is this Torii on with Dick?
  12. Even more impressive to me is the 2.5 walks per 9. He keeps the walks down, the GB rate up and keeps missing bats, and we could see something in the neighborhood of what they thought they'd get. It seems like he's been around forever, but still just 23. I remain optimistic.
  13. Something I never thought I'd say ... If he can give us what Nick Blackburn did, I'll be happy.
  14. At least there's one guy on the team that appears to give a crap.
  15. I wonder if the Rays would make De Leon available in trade.
  16. I'm embarrassed to be a Twins fan right now.
