  1. I read the article three times last night trying to find the wire reference. Then I read the 9 comments over and over. With fine tooth comb. Then I pulled up TD this morning and lamented all the time wasted when I saw the article title.
  2. If Kirilloff has enough PAs to qualify he’d be 12th in the southern league in OPS. I think Alex is back to doing Alex things.
  3. Out of curiosity - will the top 20 prospect summary be updated once the mid season prospect rankings are complete?
  4. So many warm fuzzies here. Rookersmash. Lewis with three great games out of the break. Larnach mashing. Blankenhorn is ruthian. Oh and some guys were out slangin’ in the bump? Good day for twins baseball* *as I typed this Astudillo dropped a fly ball. I meant minor leagues.
  5. I’d feel an awful lot better if Royce rakes for a month and got a promotion before end of year.
  6. Wow that really puts this in to perspective. They were sooooooooo good in 2006. Magical almost. And yet, here we are.
  7. I’m choosing to think they have a deal in place for Scherzer and Washington has said Kirilloff and Graterol and Duensing and the deal will consummate when WSH falls X GB in the WC.
  8. Yeah I love seeing that fire and desire. Looking forward to seeing this kid play.
  9. Sort of fixed. The second write state isn’t right. Or Wright.
  10. Huh. I didn’t realize the twins had drafted George springer in 2008. Bummer.
  11. Ugh. I happened to be looking at BPA on mlb's draft tracker. And I saw the DOBs. Ouch. (Edit because FML that was too tall)
  12. Wow that OSU coach had about as much TV personality as a certain catcher from St. Paul.
  13. At this point, what really matters to me is that this is the most fun probably since that magical Liriano summer. We gotta enjoy the ride though. Don’t get too many seasons in this market where we have legitimate claim to “best team in the sport” for any length of time.
  14. Actually they’re playing like a 111 win team right now. They’d be 4 games up on a team that’s playing at a 100 win pace. 538 has them pegged for 100 wins right now. They know a little more about modeling and statistics than I do, so I’ll go on record as saying they’re a 100 win team.
  15. Ball was definitely live in the dome. That iconic Eddie guardado catch off the speaker comes to mind.
  16. Last year: you could make a case for DFAing our cleanup hitter This year: jeebus our 12th man could start for half the teams in the league. Our 13th man (cave) too.
  17. According to 538 twins have climbed to 5th best ELO. Projected 4th best record (97 wins! 97!). 90% to make playoffs (3rd highest). 77% to win central. 6% to win it all (4th highest). Pinch me. This real?
  18. Great insight thanks! Quick question which likely just highlights my own ignorance. How do we rank in the top 1% of the league? If there are 30 teams we’re either in the 96th percentile or the 100th, aren’t we?
  19. It makes me very happy that Cron is under team control beyond this year.
