  1. Polanco has been ready to be a major league hitter since july last year. he was one of the quickest developers in the system and i believe he'd be very good at 2B, if not Eduardo moving there and sign a FA. while we'd also get a stud Catcher Gary Sanchez
  2. AAA sample size is pretty small. sorta like that MLB sample size what does he have like a .950 OPS? ha
  3. Brian Doziers second half struggles continued, and his overall value went way down. I don't see his value going up much more with teams knowing exactly what he's going to try and do with the ball, with his pull % increasing dramatically every year, its only a matter of time all of his numbers drop quickly as well.. i'd try a Dozier for Sanchez trade maybe get a lower level arm as well? would you?
  4. your list involves Jake Reed, Ryan Eades and Luke bard in its top 20. and Kohl Stewart number 4.... don't really understand this...
  5. best idea I've seen all night and its 4;20 AM........ Sanchez a good C for years Dozier doesn't have much more coming to him
  6. this would be a terrible deal... Lucroy isn't getting any younger and he's been beat up as a catcher. only value is as a catcher
  7. no way i'd post more that 7 or 8 million for him then i'd pay at most 4M/yr for 3 years
  8. if he can play RF i say go for it if its not too much. if its around Jung Ho Kang range i'd do it for sure ... if he only plays 1B/DH the only way to go for him is if we trade plouffe
  9. Walker's BB% has been increasing every year and is above average now, as more pitchers recognize his power he'll walk more.
  10. there were 6 hitters in the second half that had enough at bats to qualify that had 30% K rate or above... 5 of the 6 were at least 13% better than the league average hitter. striking out a lot doesn't hurt if you make consistent hard contact when you hit it.
  11. with all of the assists Rosario had it woulda been cool but he probably deserve a nomination. Don't think dozier did either though.
  12. i like paying for a premier position player like Hayward, Wieters or Upton over a player like Davis. DH isn't the problem for the Twins, and we don't want teams to feel like we HAVE to trade Plouffe because then offers will be lower, and Davis is going to sign somewhat early i'd bet
  13. i agree with you. I don't like lefties in TF and giving out 100 million for a guy who has totaled 14.5 WAR through age 30 seems a little much... i'd give that 21AAV to Jason Hayward to play RF.
  14. this is how i line up OF to start season; Rosario, Hicks, Arcia.. Possibly Hayward in RF if Twins pay up. id say Arcia and hicks will have short leashes with Buxton and Kepler on the verge and don't forget about Adam Walker soon.. Sano also could play RF if they had to.
  15. comparison's just don't work out for some people. If K% decided how a player played then Sano played pretty bad in 2015
  16. i think that Meyer was just dealt a lot of bad luck and having bad luck(High BABIP) does not mix well when you have a problem with walks. he had a 3.28 FIP which makes me believe next year he could easily have an ERA around 3 or below again. i hope he gets the chance to start, but i'd take him as an eighth or 7th inning guy any day
  17. Adam Walker is a 4 time Home run champ in his particular league. He is a back to back home run derby champ while the competition wasn't even close. Adam Walker in his 3 full seasons has averaged 28 home runs and 103 RBIS per season. Walker has been very dependable playing in 394 of his teams 414 regular season games over the last 3 years. The problem with Walker; his Strike out and Walk percentages. his walk rate has increase from 5.6 to 7.9 to 9.1 over his 3 full seasons, if Walker continues to increase it and it gets to 10% Fangraphs would consider that to be "Above Average". His K%, however has increased as well from 20.8 to 28.2 to 34.8 over the past 3 years. In a weird 2nd half in 2015 Walker also showed potential speed with 11SBs in 13 tries. with all that being said i think that Adam Walker is certainly underrated by many people. Fangraphs and MLB Pipeline both have him at a 45 future value.... what do you think, Is he Underrated or Overrated?
  18. as much as i love Polanco and Sano starting we can't trade both, to me its 1 or the other so we can still have a dependable bat/defense in the line up
  19. go find a SS who hits .300 every year in other teams top 10 and tell me how many you find.. also, go find a hitter that has led their league in homeruns every season he has played, also go find a reliever after 15 that has a 100MPH fastball and a 92 MPH slider who has struck out 11.7/9.... Gonsalves i agree though very legit.
  20. I feel like the Twins will want to get Polanco's bat in the MLB somehow and if Sano is struggling Defensively i give Polanco a shot at 3rd... to me SS is the toughest position on the diamond, have to have the most range and some of the longest throws, so i feel like 3rd would be a good solution if were stuck with Dozier at 2nd
  21. I wouldn't have put 6-10 any different...id say that Stewart is in a huge year this coming year. if his ERA continues to be low in AA even with the K% stays low i'd move him up. getting hitters out is the biggest thing for a SP... also i feel like Polanco should get a shot in MLB at 3B if the Twins end up trading Plouffe
  22. Ortiz is so underrated but i definitely don't see them giving him a chance over Kepler, Buxton and Walker.
  23. they traded a player that made no difference in the future because they were not going to be good within his contracted years. might as well trade him for someone that can help during theirs. just don't know how much
  24. disagree with the span comment above^^^^ you have to be willing to lose 3 games per year when you're bad in order to win 2 games per year when were good. sure span may have got us 9 wins total and Meyer 5.. but its about when the wins come.. gotta be willing to lose to win
