  1. to make room on the 40 to protect some players they should outright Darnell and Pinto. Pinto has a good bat but he's just a DH and we have 12 of those ha
  2. This would be my plan. Park DH, Sano in LF and occasionally 3B. Plouffe stays unless someone actually gives us what we want. when Mauer struggles and we know he will plouffe to first and sano at 3rd with the extra bat in LF(Hicks, Buxton, Arcia, Kepler) I'd trade plouffe but i wish it could be Mauer not plouffe because Plouffe's the better player
  3. The Phillies have ryan howard and that huge contract... The Brewers just exercised Lind's Contract, the Astros have Valbueno and Gattis DH'ing... White sox have Abreu and Laroche who's making 12 million next year.... It has to be us doesn't it?
  4. this could be fun.... 1 one 5 teams. I'm sure if in fact it is the Twins do win, they plan on shipping Vargas and Plouffe in a package to get a RP and or Prospect depth. I feel like they'll keep Arcia considering how much potential he has in that bat with RF possibly open in 2016
  5. the only one i really like out of here is the most unlikely one.. 3 of those 4 white sox prospects look promising. I'd maybe do the Braves trade for the RP if they through in a lower level prospect as well
  6. lol nick i called it too, maybe, when I read on MLBTraderumors the Twins were interested
  7. Sano moving to OF, The Twins one of 13 teams that could have signed him. this seems like it could be a Twins move. might be the only big move they make but it definitely would be very interesting.
  8. 2015 biggest Surpise: Eddie Rosario with 2nd most assists in Baseball and being a solid ROY candidate.(Might be tied with Pelfrey but rookies always get my vote)... Biggest negative was definitely Mauers War less than 1. 2016 biggest Positive surprise: Eduardo Escobar hits 20 home runs and has a 4+ WAR.(I know that's bold) 2016 biggest Negative: Aaron Hicks will be gone and Buxton won't play up to his ability and Their CF curse continues
  9. Fun Fact of the day, Brian dozier was drafted when he was 22 years old, Jorge Polanco has already played 9 games in the MLB at the same age.
  10. When I said "highly doubt Yankees are interested in a second baseman" I screwed up I meant Highly doubt the Yankees are interested in a Second baseman in MiLB** guarantee they'd be interested in dozier, Dozier at Yankee stadium would be deadly with that pull happy power
  11. hahha no way the Mets do this trade
  12. highly doubt the Yankees are interested in a second baseman
  13. you're not gonna get me off my point that Polanco-Plouffe is a MUCH better defensive combo. The catcher wouldn't just be an "Unknown" after we traded for him too. I think Minnesotans overrate Dozier way too much. 10th best hitting 2nd baseman out of 20 qualified MLB players. also 10th out of 20 in defense war, he's merely a little above league average starting second baseman but not close to an all star. He's replaceable. Polanco is 22 and the future
  14. totally agree. i'm just saying i'd be ok with them going for it if they get the right catcher. If they didn't get a good offer i'd be pissed if they accepted it. no way I'm forcing any trades, the more depth the better but dont shut down teams asking about him. same with Plouffe. i think we get more equal value with Dozier than plouffe though.
  15. my thoughts on this are not good for the Twins. i don't see any good in the defense Miguel has in the outfield along with outfielders getting injured more often. i want to keep this guy healthy and in the lineup. 1st/3rd/DH only places i put a guy his size to keep healthy
  16. Polanco is ready, the part you forget is the Defensive part of the game. you tried to find all my arguments but you forgot how much defense we'd lose with moving police. Sand's defense will never be average with his size and Plouffe has been a top 10 out of 21 qualifiers at 3rd base in the MLB 2 years straight according to FanGraphs. Polanco's range would be very good at 2nd Base and his arm strength would not come in to play even close to as much. Dozier over the the last 2 years is 13th out of 18 qualifiers. I don't expect polanco to have a 3+ war but he would be a solid 2nd baseman even if you think his hitting might take a little time to develop.
  17. i would agree on the thinking Michael would be too big of a question mark, but i totally disagree with you saying that about Jorge Polanco. the kid has played great at every level and had some great PA's when he was with the Twins in his short stints. he would have a much better range than dozier and his weak arm shouldn't come to play as often at 2nd base. i'd much rather have 2nd base be the question mark than catcher even if that was the situation. I say this because i don't see too many more 3+ WAR seasons from Dozier and under that is replaceable. Danny Santana's WAR 2 years ago was more than dozier's this year, he's replaceable.
  18. Mitch Garver has a 7 game hit streak and has 5 walks in 9 PA's the last 2 games, thats pretty impressive. this kids plate discipline will not go unseen by the Twins. 2017 opening day starter if they don't trade for a highly rated one
  19. believe it or not I've heard this as well.... highly unlikely but high K rate and Iso definitely could see somewhat a comparison here with maybe few more k's little less Power
  20. you want to let Oswaldo Arcia walk to another team at age 24 because you wanted to keep a "perfectly capable 4th outfielder" on the team thats 30+ years old?
  21. Dozier's second half hurt the Twins and his 3.5 WAR was not all star caliber, he was all star caliber up until the game i'll say. catching position needed more than 2nd Base and we have Michael, Polanco, and Bereford??? idk if he's still signed or not but i like a michael/Polanco attempt for sure
  22. any GM with a brain would rule 5 draft him
  23. Hermann/Darnell can be outright, Pinto Traded or outrighted. all the open spots go to- FA catcher, FA RP, Walker, Charges, Jorge, Michael, Melotakis, and Rogers.. the final spot goes to maybe a FA
  24. watch this, its my reaction to reading the title of this thread...
