    I guess that I really wasn't trying to insinuate that Mauer had great speed, but he does have more than Morrison. My greater point was that if you're looking to maximize the top of the order, there are better options and it's not all about the speed. I get what you're saying. I'd be more inclined to throw Rosario up there and take advantage of his hot streak.

    I don't mind thinking outside the box, but having Morrison hit lead off doesn't do anything for me. If he gets on, he's just going to clog the bases. That's of course if he gets on. With how hot Rosario is right now, I wouldn't mind him batting lead off with Mauer out of the lineup.

    For me, the more appropriate question is am I more annoyed by how long it takes Molitor to come up with his lineups, or that it takes so long to come up with lineups that he does? I mean, Morrison leading off? Grossman?

    Good problem to have indeed, but I'll wait to sort it out when I need to. A lot of things can happen between now and that point. Injuries have a way of making decision making easier. Secondly, May and Santana have to actually make it back. I know, I'm no fun.

    Agreed on his stuff. I always thought that his issue was between the ears. He got flustered rather easily and then imploded. The stuff has always been good though.

    Dick pointed out that Molitor felt that Wilson would be better with a young pitcher. I can't really argue with the logic defensively. Wilson has been around a while.

    I think you better let her get it. If your wife is anything like mine, I'd buy the wrong brand or wrong scent and the whole thing would be ruined. Pretty sure getting the wrong scent would be the end of the world. Discretion is often the better part of valor.

    It's weird how you put a guy that actually gets on base hitting lead off and a guy that's actually hitting in the three hole and a run gets scored. I think Molitor is on to something here!

    I think that it's important to remember that although the Twins get to play a ton of games against Detroit, White Sox and Royals, so does Cleveland. Cleveland also has the advantage of getting to play the Twins. Sure, the Twins can turn that into an advantage but as it stands right now that is not the case.

    Softer baseball? The feast or famine status of the game has gotten boring. I personally believe that it's impacted the length of games as well.
