  1. A mediocre throw gets him by quite a bit. That makes it dumb in my view. Results don't make a decision a correct one. Lucking into a run isn't wise. That's all I'm saying. You were right earlier, agree to disagree.
  2. From my angle in the stands, he was going to be out by 20' with a decent throw. Maybe that's not how it is, but that's what it looked like from section 108. 1st edit: And if it was closer than that, that could change my opinion. 2nd edit: just saw the replay. It was closer than I initially thought, but still out with a decent throw. I'm not as bothered by it as I was initially, but I still think it was a poor decision.
  3. Would you still agree if he were out by 6 steps after a decent, not great throw?
  4. I don't disagree, but I'd still say it was unnecessary.
  5. Agreed. I just accidentally deleted that post, but I don't think it was a smart play. It worked with a nice deke, but pretty risky just like the Grossman tag.
  6. I'd argue the presence of replay would make it easier. You get tossed for questioning the replay ruling!
  7. Because Molitor. And Cave was the DH, so it doesn't really matter.
  8. So you're saying that it's downhill from here?!?
  9. Judging by some of the lineups here turns out, I'm not convinced he's bothered in the least!
  10. I personally think they need both in order to be true contenders. By contenders, I'm not talking about the division. I'm not all that interested in just winning divisions.
  11. Not to mention the impact long term if they don't pan out. This club will be in serious trouble if they don't develope into legit stars.
  12. Agreed. He may as well let him learn on the job and provide some offense though. Not as though there are a lot of options otherwise. Might as well make something of the situation.
  13. That home run wasn't all that quiet...
  14. Can we get the new old Gibson back?
  15. But how does he get the grill marks? Everyone knows that that's where the flavor lies!
  16. I found Voltron! That counts for something, right?
  17. Grew up in Fergus Falls and lived in Fargo for six years and I would definitely agree with that. Aside from population size, not much of a difference to the lifestyle between the two. I would say that I had a larger adjustment to make when I moved to the Cities from Fargo.
  18. I'll take that as a compliment...I think...
  19. Perhaps the goal is to exploit the farmlands of Wisconsin to support the MN populous? Cheese, grains, milk, beef and beer. Plus, tourism would be easier to sell in WI than it is for ND. Or, maybe RB just doesn't want to live in MN so he shifts our focus to the east to avoid drawing attention to the oil? I've thought waaaaaaay to much about that...
  20. the people on the other side of the river are too busy drinking to notice. Put it on their side of the river! they're paying for it anyway, right?!
  21. Where do I sign up for the Border Battle Militia? It'll only take me a minute to be ready should the need arise!
  22. This is horrible news! This means that Godzilla can open doors! We're all screwed!
  23. You build your bullpen with a couple of guys that have options so that you can send them down and bring up some fresh arms when that happens. Regardless of your thoughts on that, having two longmen in the pen is redundant. That's what Hughes or magill are.
  24. Agreed on Morrison. He's been much better of late. I'll add this though. Comparing the RBI totals for the two is odd. Mauer has been hitting 1 or 2 in the order with nobody in front of him producing. Morrison has been hitting behind the heart of the order that has largely been productive this past month. Easier to drive guys in when they're there to drive in, HR's or not. You're correct though, he hasn't been very good this past month. this team could really use a real lead-off hitter. Dozier and Mauer aren't real lead-off guys to start with, but they need to step up before this offense will really take off.
