    I'd agree with you there. A good Mauer is more of a bonus than what should be expected. Plus, with anybody that doesn't have Eddie for a first name struggling, missing Mauer is not the main reason that the bats are struggling. Perhaps everyone should change their name to Eddie. It's worth a shot at this point I think.

    For a lineup that features only two players with a BA over .240, they need all the help they can get. He may not be an impact player anymore, but he's at least competent. That's more than you can say about 7/9 of this lineup on any given day.

    Agreed. In a sense, it's good for him. These are good learning experience. Berrios seems to have learned a lot from these types of outings.
