    Haven't they been punished enough?

    "Pretty please???"

Or keep score. You need an attachment to the scorecard to track all of the pitchers. Typical scorecards don't have nearly enough pitcher slots for a typical game anymore, let alone this type of bullpen usage.

Almost seems like he's showcasing his best relievers for potential trade partners.
  5. wsnydes
    No, I played against him!

Agreed. It shows a level of maturity as well. That's got to be a tough thing to hear and take and it could be an easy situation to go completely sideways. Credit goes to him for handling it like an adult, accepting responsibility, and working hard on what they want him to accomplish. Hopefully he takes this in stride and he becomes a better all around person and player. Sometimes, a wake up call is all that is needed.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as disaster, but I agree with your greater point. Fact of the matter is that this franchise needs to quit treading water. It's been doing so for most of the last decade. For a team that should be relatively young, starting in 2015, it got really old really quickly and the young core has fallen apart (for this season anyway). Blowing things up isn't really necessary at this point, in my view, but getting guys looks should take start taking a higher priority to actually build towards something. The Wilson's, Grossman's and Belisle's should be gone so that you can find out what you have in Garver, Cave and several AAA relievers deserving a call up.

and then sustain it for the duration of the season...

In my case, I've got enough distractions as it is (this site included). I'm not on Facebook or any other social media platform aside from LinkedIn and I was reluctant to get on that. I keep up with friends and family the old fashioned way. I talk to them! Catching up on the news is something I do when I get home from work. I'd never get anything done at work otherwise. I survive just fine! I can see where someone like yourself would find it extremely useful though. I definitely see the potential positives in certain cases, I just don't fall into any of them.

This says that your card has been declined. On a happier note, I've got a new house!

I didn't say the games didn't count, just that I don't put much stock in them. They don't tell me that the team is turning it around, that's all. I'm firmly in the sell camp, but I'm not dealing yet unless I get blown away.
  12. wsnydes
Nope. I put little stock in beating the dregs of the league. This game is far from over yet.

For the life of me, I don't understand why anyone throws Dozier a fastball. I don't care how cold he is, that's the only thing he'll hit out.
  14. wsnydes
Never a doubt in my mind! Good thing the Twins are playing a team just as bad with RISP as they are.
  15. wsnydes
With Reed on the DL, he's got to overwork someone with a last name that starts with 'R'.

    FFS...

I get that Molitor was trying to get some extra outs out of Lynn to conserve the bullpen, but the time to pull him was after he hit the first batter of the inning. Now Pressly comes in with the tying run in scoring position and the go ahead run is on base.
  18. wsnydes
I will repeat this question now that he's put a guy on.
  19. wsnydes
i was trying to be optimistic. That'll learn me.
  20. wsnydes
In Bobby we (suddenly) trust! Nevermind...
  21. wsnydes
You signed in just to write that, didn't you?
  22. wsnydes
    More clutch than Dozier!
  23. wsnydes
    Bobby Wilson's trade stock rising!
  24. wsnydes
Will Little's wife went into labor.

I think they've proven that they can hit a fastball, Lance.
