  1. If Rosario is in right field, he would have tried to throw the runner out at first.
  2. I like this Skaggs fella. Reminds me of Sweet Music.
  3. How many pitches outside the zone have been called strikes tonight? And it seems disproportionate.
  4. If we can just get to Rosario this inning, we win.
  5. No way that was strike three. This ump is TERRIBLE!
  6. Wow. That has to be the longest homer of Grossman’s career.
  7. No way Lynn goes out for the 7th. Just saw MOY shake his hand.
  8. Wow. Two 98 mph pitches below the zone. Can’t do much about that.
  9. I still chuckle when I hear someone say “Pujols.”
  10. Ohtani might not play, as the Angels may put him on the DL. https://www.mlb.com/news/shohei-ohtani-to-miss-a-start-for-blister/c-280336150
  11. Tom, this is brilliant work. Looking forward to whatever your next project is.
  12. Just saw the replays on Quick Pitch. Pedro Martinez, one of the top 5 pitchers ever (in my opinion) said Jose reminded him of himself. I hope Jose and his family have that taped. It was a very special compliment. If Jose can keep this up, and be anywhere near as successful as Pedro, we will be enjoying the ride. Extend him now!! And extend Rosario now!!
  13. I'm at work, so I can't see the plays. How was Rosario's throw to home?
  14. Rosario just couldn't let Esco be the offense's hero again. . . so selfish.
  15. Buxton started having migraines early in the season, then fouled a ball off his toe. Bad luck. I'm not writing him off until he gets healthy and plays for a while. I'm really tired of the Sano bashing on this site. There's another way to look at what's been going on with Sano. Last year he fouled a ball off his leg and fractured a bone. He tried to play through it without surgery so he could contribute to this team. That was probably painful and difficult, but he tried. He ultimately needed surgery and a rod in his leg. So he did not have a normal off-season to prepare himself for this year physically. Everyone on this site claimed he wouldn't be ready for the start of the season, and he wouldn't be able to play third base. He got himself ready to start the season at third base. He started out pretty well, but pulled a hamstring, which is a very difficult injury to play through and recovery times are different for everyone. Now, he's getting back to form slowly, which would be expected of any player who's gone through what he's gone through. From my perspective, he's shown nothing but admirable desire to be on the field and contribute, despite some tough breaks (pun intended). The plate discipline issues for both Sano and Buxton are troubling, and have been for a few years. We can only hope they work through those issues as they are healthy and playing regularly. But I wouldn't question the desire or attitudes of either of these players without more information.
  16. It’s also disappointing to get nothing from the veteran core of Dozier, Mauer and Santana. If we had those guys doing what they did last year, we’d be in first place. Just a lot of bad luck so far this year, combined with some poor performances. But I still believe things can turn around for this team.
  17. We should all be getting Rosario jerseys. And the FO should take notice and extend him sooner than later . . . and sooner for later.
  18. I kind of felt like a dumb homer for making Rosario one of my 5 keepers in a 16 team league. Now, he looks very much like a keeper. I hope the Twins FO see it the same way and extend him.
  19. The announcers are talking about Carew and stealing home. Made me think that if Carew were around today, Danny Duffy would go ape spit on him.
