I would say he is knocking on the door of making a lot of top 100 lists next year. He is already a top 10 Twins prospect (in the eyes of many including myself).
I have absolutley no interest in Thome or any of the players listed in the article. While no one knows for sure what we have in Colabello, this year would be the perfect chance to see what he has.
I don't really get this. Other than making sort of a mochery of the thread, Which is what you are doing when you say you'll 'wait a few years...' Its not like anybody is predicting he'll be a future superstar.
Agreed, but even if he doesn't sign and plays for an independent team, he would not become a free agent. He would just go back to the draft next year. He would have to go totally undrafted in order to become a free agent.
expect him to throw in live games sometime in June. He'll start out an inning at a time and go from there. I wouldn't be surpised to see him playing with one of the upper level teams by the end of the year.
Who in their right mind would have Goodrum in their top 10 list? Even before May and Meyer came along, he was not close. I wouldn't call him a bust yet but he is pretty close. Angel Morales on the other hand, I don't even consider a prospect at all anymore. He has already busted. I think Madison Boer goes back to the pen this year. He got lit up in the pitcher friendly FSL last year as a starter. I would say Alex Wimmers is the most likely player on that list to be a solid MLB player some day. I still have hope for guys like Benson, Salcedo and even Michael.
I predict the following players make thier ML debut this year with the Twins... Aaron Hicks, Kyle Gibson, Oswaldo Arcia, Josmil Pinto, Bruce Pugh and Michael Tonkin,
