  1. SWR seems good at getting out of jams, to a degree. 8 hits and 2 runs. Same last week, more or less. But...concerning...let's hope he's just having a couple of bad games.
  2. He's better than Tonkin, who I believe costs more and keeps getting picked up.
  3. I think it all starts with the topics. Many of the articles have an overly pessimistic or clickbaity tone, e.g. "Who is to blame today," which beg for venting instead of thoughtful analysis of performance or strategy,
  4. It sounds like you view Martin as primarily OF, vs IF? I also think he'll be back soon. I'm just curious of the role. I think he's kind of a Marwin, but more middle IF...or, as I said, above this, essentially Gordon with a little better middle IF glovework.
  5. They were literally drafted in the same slot too...or, well, close. I don't trust my memory anymore. All spring I was thinking this. Martin has more discipline at the plate, but they're very similar players as far as role goes. And that is not a bad thing. That's how MLB draft works. And it's fascinating, and kind of why I love this game. Because they're both also so different.
  6. Sending down Sands (to stretch him out) now would be pretty insulting to SWR. Though I'll note that the quote says "if it's more depleted".
  7. I said this in a game thread too, but my only question on Miranda is if he's still at a prospect-like "needs to play every day" level. I think he deserves to stay for now and through Lewis being out. After that...not sure what I think.
  8. I hope he proves me wrong, but I haven't really trusted him for about a year. I know stats say otherwise somewhat. I'm going by personal intuition. I'm fine if he's a 6th inning type pitcher, but not high leverage.
  9. A 3-0 timer violation? Yikes. I like Washington, but that's just bad all around.
  10. I'd honestly be fine with cutting Thielbar but I'm sure that's not a popular take.
  11. Definitely Jax then, based on the Alcala decision. /s I still think Bowman or Jackson goes. Or a surprise muscle strain trip to the IL for Jackson or Okert types.
  12. You keep this on hand for these occasions?
  13. Catching duo is 6-8 so far today. But only 1 SB (so far).
  14. First faceless player I've ever seen in gameday.
  15. Imagine this game without a pitch clock...
  16. Maybe this is why he's only pitching 1 inning at a time.
  17. Willi Castro and Carlos Santana leading the new look offense of late April. WTF?
