Moderator note: please stop this back and forth 'you started it' 'no, you started it' bickering.
  2. Squirrel
Not posts ... threads, with multiple posts
  3. Squirrel
Yup. Could not have said it better.

I don't disagree that there wasn't some of that into the consideration ... ticket sales. It's all about ticket sales and the money. I work for an organization like that. But I also don't think that after 4 losing seasons in a row that you can just stand pat and be okay on any level.
  5. Squirrel
Yeah, even though I think it's the right decision, it's still a little sad. But now, it's onward, upward (hopefully) ... c'est la vie.
  6. Squirrel
Concur. Wonder if he accepts a role in the org? Doesn't sound like it.
  7. Squirrel
Could someone report back on the presser? I can't get it here. nm. Have 1500am streaming.
  8. Squirrel
Ha! So did I! It was my 'meh' vote in that I wouldn't have been surprised either way.

Ooops ... I knew it was z ... in the same general area of the keyboard ... sometimes my fingers just type too fast. (Super fast touch typist ... I forget to read sometimes.) Mientkiewicz
  10. Squirrel
If he's the new manager, better learn it now ... Mientkiewicz ... just remember ... you have two 'ie' combinations, and the rest is easy.
  11. Squirrel
I just hope a new manager is named sooner rather than later ... not sure I can handle 50 new threads daily on who the new manager should be.
  12. Squirrel
heh ... no loyalty? I think the problem was too much loyalty rather than a lack of it. I find that statement laughable.
  13. Squirrel
Oh my ... here's to a good recovery! Sending you good thoughts, TK!

I'm not at all surprised by Gardy for all the reasons listed above. I am surprised, sort of, by the 'letting go' of the entire coaching staff, but understand why that had to be. Let the 'new guy' (and I use that term lightly, because I don't consider Molitor a new guy, if it's him, but I kind of hope not) choose whom he works with best. Question ... does anyone think any of the coaches will be back? Who do you want back, if any? I wouldn't be opposed to Bruno and/or Cuellar.
  15. Squirrel
Oh boo!! DISLIKE! DISLIKE! (hee hee hee)

JB would be fine. Me? Not so much. Thanks for that hearty laugh! I like the gig I have now, thank you very much. And thanks above for the 'guy or gal' ... that's forward thinking ... but are there any women coaches, managers out there anywhere in baseball?
  17. Squirrel
This ... with 5 exclamation points!!!!!
  18. Squirrel
Given the title of your thread, I thought you were you were telling us.
  19. Squirrel
    Good for him.
  20. Squirrel
Per your thread title ... we get tired of it, too.
  21. Squirrel
Then switch to hard liquor. And I'll post in it when they play the Blackhawks ... my post will go like this "Go Blackhawks!" or 'Yay Blackhawks!" (because that's all I really know and care about hockey ... other than the Blackhawks have a couple of Canadian hotties on the team )
  22. Squirrel
Konerko's last game, and they took him out?
  23. Squirrel
Now eyes onto Oakland and Seattle games.
  24. Squirrel
4-2 Sox, or will be soon when the call is overturned
  25. Squirrel
Okay, people. Let's dial it back a bit. No inferring that people are card cheats or calling posts silly.
