    I actually said it once. The stage crew of a theatre I was in was explaining to me not to say 'the play not be named' and I outright said, 'Macbeth? Why can't you say Macbeth?' The collective gasps were ... well, I know how jimbo feels. But in my case, unlike jimbo's, there is a counter to it which I did immediately and the curse was held off.

    Anytime a fan says it, it's a jinx. You just don't mention 'no hitter' during a possible no hitter. And it wasn't just a no hitter up until you said it, he had a perfect game going. But you said it and the next pitch was to Hicks, so it was your jinx. You did it, you blew it. These are part of the unwritten rules for fans. You don't say it while it's happening.

    The Yankees announcers get excited for Twins home runs. I keep wondering what feed I've got. I hear their excitement and think a Yankee hit a homer and it's all just very confusing.

    MOD NOTE: This topic was pretty clear - what's your ideal roster on 8/1. This is not an indictment thread on TR. If you don't want to talk about roster and the how and why you'd name players on and off said roster, or comment on others' roster construction without going down the FO indictment trail, then don't comment.

    I'd be curious to know how well the youth voted. (I'm sure this is already stated somewhere; I just haven't had time to read any in depth coverage yet.) We always talk about how the youth are the worst in getting out to vote in this country, I wonder if that was the case there.
