  1. While it seems like we’ve had some unlucky losses, the play where Jeffers scores, it was a very good thing the catcher couldn’t hold onto the ball because Jeffers would have been out by a good margin, imo. So, maybe that was a bit lucky for us, for a change. I’ll take it, though. As you said, a win is a win, and I’m glad.for it! 🙂
  2. 1. Gray himself kind of answers that in the video clip in the article. I wondered, too, since I was only following on gameday and asked that question in the game thread. He threw 31 pitches in that final inning, starting off with a walk. He said he got out of it, but after the 2-run homer to come out and walk the first batter takes away the momentum. And he said it was the right call. Guess it’s hard to argue it if Gray seemed to think it was okay. And you know he’d say it if he didn’t think so 2. Your guess is as good as anyone’s. My question is why is he still even on the active roster … a question for the FO
  3. It’s interesting that they are using Duran for more than one inning. Will this then limit his availability or are they purposely stretching him out a little? I hope his shoulder holds up, though, considering how hard he throws.
  4. If you were giving 110%, you would have gotten the recyclables out in the first place. Just sayin'. And not sure what I'm saying, other than ... I don't agree with your analogy, but I do agree with the spirit of it. 🙂
  5. Bench him? I want him DFA’d at this point. That is THE ONE and only move that is absolutely necessary from every angle. It would send a message to players, to on-field staff, to the fans. He should have already been gone. I was willing to see how he’d do at the beginning of the season, not that I wanted him, but willing to let it play out. It has. That one move is it. If the FO can’t pull it off, well, then Pohlad needs to replace Falvey. These things start at the top.
  6. Gallo does. When he’s not on the IL. But then we have his occasional feast but mostly famine bat. But when we DFA Kepler when Gallo returns, he’s the defensive replacement. And I’d rather have his bat, which isn’t saying much
  7. But no, it doesn't. One guy gets on base and no one can get him home? What's the score? Sorry, we need more than one guy. I get the frustration and being upset over losing Arraez, but, that truly is not the answer, imho. The approach to hitting is off ... that's the fix, not one player we traded.
  8. Arraez alone doesn’t do it, though. He didn’t last year, he wouldn’t have this year. One player isn’t the answer.
  9. This is as good a spot to post this, although Paddock isn't on a rehab assignment ... but will we see him this year?
  10. Right. I didn't mention Wallner. Larnach is the one being activated, but for whom we don't know yet. I assume Garlick, unless there is someone headed to the IL.
  11. Larnach will be activated tonight ... for whom is yet tbd. What Brian suggested is something I've picked up elsewhere, that Larnach was imminent and they didn't want to bring back Wallner for a couple of days because of the limits there, so, Garlick was up and it makes sense he goes back down. But ... are Kepler's migraines IL worthy?
  12. I'm guessing Garlick back down ... unless someone goes on the IL
  13. That’s a good point. I think the Twins are fine risking losing Garlick, and Larnach should be ready soon. I’m hoping that either Buck or Correa can at least come off the bench if needed. If not, the FO has left Rocco very short-handed.
  14. Well, it was going to be Sands for Thielbar one way or another. Hope Sands’ shoulder isn’t serious.
  15. I concur with your unconcurrence
  16. Well, it isn’t Wallner …
  17. Well, it’s official, Gallo to the IL.
  18. Thielbar could be activated this weekend, last I read. I think Maeda might be a week or so yet?
  19. This I agree with. I’m not sure if it’s lost focus or what. Or maybe trying too hard to prove his worth? But he is capable and hope he gets there soon. I still believe in his abilities. And maybe it’s just a down year. Hard to say.
  20. There are others I'd put on this list over some that are on this list. Typical.
  21. I agree with the concerns about Lopez, but this implication is off, to me. Do you really think he’s not working and just sluffing off because he signed a new contract? It’s a nice contract, and I’m not sure what’s happening with him, but doubtful he’s just off somewhere enjoying it and not working hard. I hope he can get back to how he started the season.
