  1. What must Gibby be thinking when this isn't the first time he's been given such a lineup. Yeah, I know, we all think he won't and shouldn't be around next year ... but I'd think you'd at least give your weakest pitcher some support.
  2. How do you know he didn't? Just because he's not playing? This lineup is Molitor's responsibility and Molitor's only. It's not even Joe's responsibility, leadership or otherwise to question it. And whether or not he did, you don't know. So stop with the Mauer baiting. Seriously.
  3. Yeah, I agree. But I also think it's a 'necessary evil.' Things just have not been working so maintaining the status quo just isn't an option. But for the cries over this season, I do think there is a larger plan and hopefully one that ends with where we all want to be ... the WS. And you are right ... this is just the beginning. I just hope the team can keep fighting through the turmoil. Best wishes to whomever is let go in the coming days and good luck to all the new hires.
  4. nm ... here's the article in the STrib: http://www.startribune.com/twins-fire-four-scouts/438777823/ "Marty Esposito, a longtime scout who covered Texas. Alan Sandberg, who covered Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and upstate New York. Ted Williams, who covered Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and parts of Nevada. And Mark Wilson, who covered North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Wilson signed local products like Joe Mauer and Glen Perkins."
  5. Names? Link? Please provide more for us.
  6. Took the words right out of my fingers!
  7. Man, they really don't want Gibby to win.
  8. Good for your son for telling you something your brain hadn't already stored. One of my favorite nephews, he is! (I have four favorites.)
  9. As your sister, I can attest to that ... oh boy, can I ever.
  10. Well, did he take away the clear lane or not? Very close to it, but not, it would seem to me then he wasn't doing anything illegal per the rule. Perhaps you've answered your own question.
  11. I already had chicken for dinner ... grilled chicken thighs, coleslaw, 3-bean salad and orzo salad. I won't say what I had for dessert because I don't wanna say.
  12. Well, I never ... am just kinda speechless. Except for this post.
  13. Since the run scored and no out was recorded, does it matter?
  14. Absolutely right. And further, any resulting action or non-action on any of these events has absolutely nothing to do with Molitor having the players backs or not.
  15. By the way, we have plenty of dates open in August for anyone wanting to start a game thread. Newbies or Oldies all welcome to throw their hat in the ring. Just check out the volunteer thread (link posted below) for available dates and send a PM to Chief and me. We eagerly await hearing from you! http://twinsdaily.com/topic/25228-2017-game-thread-volunteers-needed1/
  16. I'm not close enough to hear the actual music ... just the deep rumble thumps. When Guns n Roses played Soldier Field last summer I was able to do that. Heard them loud and clear ... and I don't even face that direction.
  17. I can hear this constant rumble thump in the background as LaLa carries on.
  18. Maybe, if you change to 'Full Version' mode.
  19. If he were 'ready' I think he'd have been here for more than 2 spot starts.
  20. Being his sister, I can attest to that. Oh, boy ... can I ever.
  21. Yeah, that was my question. If he said Lincoln Park Zoo, I could help him out.
  22. I don't think it would create too much of a hole to trade Dozier; nor do I think it would result in the team having to expend much resources to fill that slot. Santana, on the other hand ... two very different scenarios imo. And the call of 'Trade them, trade them' and lumping them together is very shortsighted.
