  1. I used to turn my thermostat down to 65 at nights. Then there was the house I had when I lived in St. Paul. The attic space was finished, except that it didn't have its own heat source ... and that was my bedroom ... I wouldn't do that now.
  2. I'll do you one better ... it's all in here: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/28792-2018-game-thread-volunteer-thread/ And thanks!
  3. Okay ... you are signed up for the 13th ... and let Chief and me know about the 15th ... Thanks!
  4. Still looking for game thread volunteers ... we have two openings left in April ... the 13th and 15th vs the ChiSox ... step right up!
  5. I disagree ... let's see what Brian, Ash and Vanimal think ... edit: ninja'd and proven correct.
  6. JINX!!! TAKE IT BACK! TAKE IT BACK!
  7. No, I'm not facing the lake ... I actually do have the AC on in summers because, yeah, the noise and the lights and the dirt/dust ... but ... I prefer it without AC.
  8. 75 in winter ... no AC in summer ...
  9. I know ... I was being a little ... well ... me ...
  10. Would getting hit by a ball hurt worse in the cold?
  11. Well, other than the steroids while he was a player ... but yeah ... other than that ...
  12. That's what I have on for no special reason other than that's the one I tuned into.
  13. Choices ... which broadcast do I listen to?
  14. So long, farewell, Patrick Sharp ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egwWskkxzfE
  15. Did anyone happen to catch A-Rod on Ellen today? Heh ... I can't stand him, but damn it, he was so darned likeable on the show.
  16. No need to delete ... but I moved it to the MinnCentric forum. In case other such notices are necessary they can be brought up here. We had a fairly large spam attack and it took a bit to get it under control. But we did and we've cleaned it up. Mostly the attack came by way of the blogs but some of it filtered into the forums. It was well underway when I noticed it at 4am ... yeah, I guess sometimes it's a good thing when you have trouble sleeping ... if it had gone later it would have been worse. Anyway, it's always good to let us know when you see these things going on.
  17. Interesting enough ... both the ChiSox and Cubs are playing home games this week at the same time. That rarely happens in the schedule. And, not only are they both playing in Chicago, today, it's the Cubs' home opener. And the Cubs game is postponed while the ChiSox are playing? We got snow this morning ... big, wet, heavy stuff ... it could be that more fell north than south and that's why the Sox are able to play, but that is weird on two fronts.
  18. I don't know if someone said this already, but that make up game is actually worse for us than the Mariners. We will be coming off a weekend in L.A. and they will be stopping in MN after playing a weekend in Detroit. Not really a case of 'now they have to come all the way back here ...' Make ups for any team can be a pita. But it is what it is. We can complain about not having a roof, but if you look at temperatures around the division the last couple of seasons, Minnesota was warmer than Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit.
  19. If you look at the hourly forecasts, this evening isn't really any different than the afternoon. If the sun were out, though, it might feel warmer.
  20. Meh, and it's still not exactly correct, but it's at least a little clearer. If it's been said once, it's been said a hundred times ... Brian has issues with commas.
  21. Yes, there is ... and his editor took care of that ... she didn't get to it until now because she was deep in the trenches fighting a spam war. Well, that and was off playing tennis, too.
  22. Glad you caught it was a smart ass answer to your question
