  1. I think Seth said it best yesterday. I don't understand why he hasn't moved up yet.
  2. I'm a little confused by this. The top three in the Twins system (Lewis, Kiriloff, Graterol) have the chance to be elite players and have as much upside as anyone in the game. If these three continue to have the success they're currently having for the rest of the season all three might end up being in the top 35 by season's end. This would be incredible considering on average each baseball teams should have 3.33 prospects in the top 100 and the Twins might have 3 in the top 35.
  3. 1.) Where are you from? I'm from Roseville, MN. Went to University of St. Thomas and lived around the Twin Cities..St. Paul, Minneapolis, Northeast Minneapolis and St. Louis Park. Moved to San Francisco, CA for two years and now live in NYC, NY. 2.) Age Range? 30 3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? I honestly don't remember what exactly brought me to Twins Daily but it was probably Twitter. 4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? I played up until high school when I switched to lacrosse. I still play slow pitch softball. 5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? Favorite Twins player is Joe Mauer. Favorite underappreciated Twins Player is Brad Radke 6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? The Athletic 7.) Favorite Twitter follows? Michael Russo who covers the MN Wild 8.) Other interests outside of baseball. Golf, softball, broomball, cabin/lake life. Pretty much anything outdoors. 9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily? All of the baseball knowledge. It's a great way to learn about advanced metrics and to learn about the Twins' minor league teams. 10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season? I like all that Twins Daily has to offer. 11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?" No, but I might once I move back to MN.
  4. I'd hate to see him go but if he continues to rake you have to think about trading him. Tell him on the way out that we (Twins) want to resign him in the offseason. I'd try to get back as good of a prospect as they can and hope they are a right handed hitter.
  5. Seems pretty solid to me.
  6. Some agents this this is a relative bargain. To me the crazy thing is he's only 23 and has already been in the league for three years.
  7. The Twins need to be sellers unless by the deadline they're within 4 or 5 games and actually playing good baseball. They need to hope Dozier starts to heat up so he has trade value at the deadline.
  8. For anyone that wants a very thorough and I think impartial article you should read the following. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.si.com/mlb/2018/05/16/luke-heimlich-oregon-state
  9. I don't know if I'd be willing to trade Escobar. We don't know if Mauer is going to return next season which also effects Sano and where he'll play. He's not guaranteed to stick at 3rd anymore and with Dozier gone it's not a given that Gordon will come up and thrive. He's the one player I would hold onto just in case Sano continues to suck, Gordon doesn't click right away and Polanco falters.
  10. The problem I see with selling is that the players the Twins should probably sell either aren't doing well or or are injured. Dozier's trade value for as mediocre as it was has to be pretty low now. E Santana won't have any trade value since he won't be pitching until at least the middle of July. We could trade a bullpen piece or two but I don't know that we would get much. If Lynn continues to pitch well we could probably get something from him.
  11. Seems like he is overall OK with this and understands that he just needs to clear his head, figure out his swing and he'll be back.
  12. Hopefully this is a demotion where he actually has to work his way back up to the MLB. Play a few weeks down in High A, then move to AA and then to AAA. Make him prove at each step he is making the steps needed to get back to the Show.
  13. No way I give up Lewis for a catcher. If he continues to play well he'll be a consensus top 15 prospect by either mid-season or at the end of the season once a few people graduate. I'd also have a tough time giving up Kiriloff with the way he is playing right now. If he continues his pace could start next season in AA and should shoot up most prospect lists this year.
  14. Kinda meh, no? With all of the options still on the board not too excited about it.
  15. Sounds like he was hitting off the back of his foot because of the pain.
  16. And I apologize because I didn't mean to direct that toward you. It was more of just a general post toward some of the comments made earlier.
  17. He did but the part that I don't understand is people making this a race issue. Isn't Royce's father African American? Which makes him half White and half African American, correct? I find it ridiculous to hint or state that people commenting only talk about players with "High Character" when discussing White players.
  18. I don't think I could say it better than AZTwin that this discussion got completely derailed. This was definitely not the discussion I was expecting to read. Back to their talent and topic at hand. What does everything think about these two being selected to play in the Arizona Fall League? Would this be a typical stage for them to go against the better talent in that league?
  19. It's going to be great to watch these two as they move up each level. Obviously we're a few years down the road but it will be interesting where Kiriloff will play with the Twins outfield seemingly set with Rosario, Buxton and Kepler.
  20. It's almost like Winnipeg wore down after the early series against the Wild. It seems like each series thereafter was less physical than the last and Vegas just used it's speed to beat the Jets. That and Fleury was outstanding throughout the series.
  21. A full rebuild is not necessary at this point. This team has put up 100 + points in three of the last four seasons and dealt with an unbelievable amount of injuries to the top 6 forwards and top 4 defense this season. The Jets are probably the toughest matchup for them. The were 3-0 against Vegas and 3-1-1 against the Preds this season. They could easily trade Coyle, Brodin and Zucker for some good young players, draft picks or a better player if they bundle them. If I was the Wild's GM I would try to trade Coyle + a draft pick(s) (Not 2018's 1st) for Max Pacioretty. Do what it takes to get rid of Ennis. Sign a bottom 6 forward that brings some speed and maybe another that can take face-offs and kill penalties. I'd really like Grabner from the Rangers.
  22. Wait what? You thought he played well in game 2 but not 3 or 4? I'm just wondering if you watched the full series or not? The Wild game stomped on in game 2. He only gave up two goals in game 3 and only one in game 4. Two of the four goals he gave up in game 5 we deflections that moved direction by three or four feet.
  23. The injuries to the Wild team this season are truly unbelievable. All big time players are getting injured. Parise and Granlund to start the season, Nino and Coyle for a few weeks each with a broken fibula, Brodin, Spurgeon, Suter.....
  24. I think a lot of people will be surprised at the end of the first round with how the Wild don't get blown out of the water. They're actually a very deep team up front as well and have played extremely well (minus a few games) since the end of November.
